Just wanted to give everyone an update.

So our wedding is tomorrow and so far we haven't really hit any problems.   Jenny is awesome and will try her hardest to get everything you want.  The staff here are awesome so please ignore any of the bad reviews about the staff on tripadvisor because those reviews of full of it.  And trust me I am one of the hardest people to please when it comes to service as i was in the industry for 6 years.  Anyway the resort is awesome and much bigger than I thought.  There are things to do all day.  So far I have no been harrassed by the timeshare people and to be honest have not seen them at all.  There were only a couple of outside vendors in the resort but they were limited to the main pool area.  Soo we figured out that we just tell them we don't have cash they just leave you alone.  LOL

Ok soo off for more wedding preparations if anyone has any questions that you want me to ask please let me know

Hi ladies,

So I apologize if this is a repeat question, but I tried searching for any information about it!!  I was wondering if any girls know about the DJ used for the reception.  Do they MC like a wedding from home.  Meaning, will they introduce the wedding party, call dinner, speeches, dances, etc?

Even though we are doing the DW we still want some traditional aspects!!!

Thanks

Ok so today is the big day!!!  So far everything has been soooo Great and Jenny is soooo helpful and tries her hardest to make sure you are happy.  I was just upgraded to a suite for the rest of the week that I am here.  We did a rehearsal last night and dinner which they blocked an area just for us and our guests to sit.  Everyone tries to accommodate you in every way possible.

Hey Jenn,  So great to hear that everything is going how you want it!!  Can't wait to hear all of the details!!  Just a question when you get home and have the chance....did you have to pay extra to have the rehearsal??

Thanks so much!

Hi Girls,

I'm logging on here every day in the hope of seeing Dana's review but no luck so far! Cant wait to see her pics and hear all about it.

Anyway I have just decided on my centrepiece and I think it will work out great. I know a lot of brides in the past have tried to carry glass vases down with them only for them to break and be left with nothing so I was trying to find something either plastic or unbreakable. I found this decorative birdcage instead :) My colours are gold and coral so this will work perfectly, and I figure I can fill it with clothes in my suitcase tosave on space and I can arrange the flowers when I get there. there's no glass involved and it's a little different... what do you think? Obviously I will be filling mine with coral, peach and cream flowers and will tie a coral bow on top :)

Hi ladies-

It has been awhile since I have posted on here and one of these days I am going to post more pics and a full review (I got married April 4th). In the meantime, I saw the question on the reception. Yes, it is extra if you want to have one. However, I did a reception lunch the day before at the seaside grill (and it was free). I told Yanna and she had them make arrangements (we had to be there right at noon). The service was great and we had the entire room to ourselves. I had wanted to have a dinner, but I actually got word that some of my quests who were on a short trip wanted to try the restaurants at night, so it worked out.

One other thing I wanted to note for you ladies. We brought about 30 different sized vases (3 sizes  X 10 vases) with us to the DR. Because it was such a hassle to transport, we told Yanna that they could keep them at the resort for future weddings. We also left the sashes (shown in the attached pictures) as well.

That's all for now... we had the best time and couldn't have been happier. Once I get some more time I will write a full review.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
