I missed it too! Maybe we can attempt to have another get together for those that missed the previous one. I'm in Arcadia (east of Pasadena) and would love to have brunch to meet up with BDW brides. I'll throw out April 19 or the 26th- who is down?!

Hey So Cal brides ~ we never actually did this get-together so if you'd like we can definitely try again!!!! rolleyes.gif

Weekends work for me (except for August 23) -- so how about we throw some dates out there:

August 22, 29, 30 or Sept. dates (with the exception of Labor Day weekend as I'm sure many will have other plans or be going outta town)!

We were looking at Brea Cheesecake Factory before, that would work again unless you guys have any other suggestions?

Let's plan!!!!! elefant.gif

Ok I really hope this is after August 29th, that is when I get back from my wedding!

I don't mind driving to Brea, (I live far from everything) but it would be really nice to have it close to the beach! It just seems like destination wedding brides would want to have lunch on the beach, right? Here are a few suggestions.

Maybe in Long Beach (Gladstones or Parker's lighthouse right on the water?), or the Cheescake Factory near Redondo Beach, or maybe even somewhere in Huntington Beach. I went to a really nice brunch last summer at a hotel that had awesome views in HB, I just don't remember the name right now. I will have to ask the girsl Maybe at Casa del Mar or The Loews on the beach in Santa Monica? Moonshadows in Malibu? (If we have it on a Sunday afternoon at Moonshadows, they have a DJ with dancing overlooking the beach. It is really fun.) The Ritz in Laguna Niguel has an awesome brunch and it is so beautiful.

Ok, brunch is one of my favorite weekend activities, so I have been to brunch anywhere from San Diego to Santa Barbara! Let's pick a few places and then vote!

It seems like this thread has been inactive for a while, but being a SoCal Destination Bride, I thought I'd revive it.  I'm in Sunland and my wedding is 4/25/11 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  Any past or future destination brides care to do a meet up?  Would love to swap ideas and stories, who's down?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
