Hi brides! I went to try dresses on and fell in love with the private label by g 1415...

I did some research online and decided to take the chance and order it. I ordered it from DHgate from seller Hjklp88

They processed my dress in 5-6 days, shipped it and it got here in another 5 days! OH and the best part...

I paid 150$$ and it was shipped to my door!

Now for the dress, I called my gf right away to help me get it on since its a corset back.

The dress was shipped in plastic packaging and a big yellow foamy envelopea with no damage.

Right away I can see the differences of the dress... the jewelled area on the bust is kind of "cheap" looking but

once its on you cant tell the difference... also the ruffled material on the bottem of the dress is different material

than the original, quite a bit more sheer and almost shiny.  The skirt of the dress falls more flat than the original.

The corset/bodice part of the dress is amazing!! feels very welled made and fits perfectly!!!

I have showed friends pictures of me in the original and the knockoff and most of them prefer the knock off as the

fit is sooooo spot on. I think I will try a bit of crinoline underneath to make the skirt appear more full.

Overall I am extremely pleasantly surprised with this dress! cant wait to see what it looks like with the crinoline

Hi Ladies,

I've been reading this forum for almost a year now, our wedding isn't til sept 1st of this year.  I wanted to order from jasmine's bridal.   But we are both working out and dieting to get to close to our ideal weight and size.  I was not going to try on dresses til I reach my goal but I was visiting my best friend this past weekend who also is looking for a bridal dress. we both have a tight budget.  I heard about church street bridal which was a 3 hr drive from where she was at.  designer sample dresses donated to them and they are priced range from 200-700. the money go towards domestic violence women.

There was limited selection so I found a dress that looked nice, made me felt good about my body and has all the bling, beading i wanted but its was not what I envision myself wearing. Since they didn't have the style dress that I envision myselft, I didn't know what to do because sometimes what you want to wear will not look right on you.  This dress was for 450 (a steal) and I know that I wasn't going to be in this neighbor ever so I bought it and now have buyer's remorse... if i do lose weight, this dress will need to be altered (it already needs to be hemmed) and some say alterations that includes manuevering around beading and crystals cost more. what if i end up like my "vision" dress but its going to go over my budget cause i do want beading and crystals on it?  AHHHH...

My friends tell me to give it a month and a half after finishing our 2nd cycle of p90x and try on dresses including the one I bought and see how things go...

    What do you guys think???

heres the dress i bought:

and here's the dress i envision myself wearing (i would add more beading/crystal to the bodice because I'm all about bling wink.gif) :

I personally like the second dress better.

What if you try and sell the original dress on ebay, and order the new dress on Jasmines? Just see if you can sell the first dress while you are still reaching your goal weight?

Hi ladies!

Im new to the thread, sort of. I've been reading all day. lol I guess I'll add my two cents on knockoffs. I got married on 7-23-11 and ordered my dress from monicabridal on DHgate. The dress was a replica of a maggie "simone." It was a little off when I got it, the sweetheart (which I asked them to add) was a little crooked and the rouching in bodice wasn't as tight as I would have liked it to be. But any way, I had it altered to fix the sweetheart. There wasn't much you could do about the rouching. (I'll add pictures for reference at the bottom of this post) When I took the dress off at the end of the night I noticed that the seams on the inside of the dress were coming apart. :(  SO to make a long stort short, I dont like our wedding pictures so we are redoing some bride and groom shots. I would like to order a new knock off but this time I'm thinking of ordering something with lots of lace. Since it's just a photo shoot and not my actual wedding, I don't want to pay more than $200. I know you get what you pay for, but I can't justify more than that just to take pictures for a couple of hours. Im trying to decide between babyonline from DHgate, Duosheng or Topspartner. Anyone ordered a somewhat complicated dress from them? Any pictures so I can see their quality? Thanks!

The picture monicabridal sent me from the factory

Bride2012,

You are very welcome! I hope they can make the dress of your dreams. I have been very happy with the communication I have received from them. I have been talking to Amalia. She is great and pays great attention to every little detail and request I have! If I can help you out in any way please don't hesitate to ask! I'd love to see a photo of the dress you are going to have made, if you have one! Congratulations on your weight loss as well...that's always exciting :)

Hey Lindy S, Just wondering whether or not Shades of Pale have you a contact number? My dress is due to finish this week and I haven't been able to get an email response from them for a week.. Alittle bit anxious...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
