i'm pretty sure both these photographers are on the higher end price-wise, but they are also *extremely* high-quality, artistic photographers. AMAZING work. if you fall in love, see if you can fit them into your budget (my budget was very limited). i still maintain that photos of your day are one of the most important investments you will make. another option if you can't afford the photographer you really love is to hire them for a short TTD session. every bride should have amazing photos!

Well I am supposed to be putting my down payment tomorrow along with another forum bride but we are both a lil skeptical... No one has yet to say they have used him or at least not on this forum. He offered me 2 emails of references but those could be all made up, in his defense he is a very nice guy and very responsive to all my emails. His site looks legit, but in reality what guarantee do I have that he will show up the day of my wedding once I give him a down payment im scared!!lol As soon as i hear anything I will keep you ladies informed!!

actually, that thought crossed my mind as well ... any joe schmo can set up a website of wedding pics and start taking deposits, right? if he is very responsive to emails and offered you references, i think you are fine. contact the references he sent. worst case scenario, they're fakes and no one gets back to you. BUT you could have your mind totally put at ease as a bride shares beautiful photos with you.

You are right. They are both amazing and artistic...exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately their on the higher end and definitely way beyond my budget. Oh well..

this thread has been extremely helpful and informative. i am in the process of researching prices to figure out my 2010 DW budget. i had no idea how much it cost for this stuff! thanks for posting this and doing the extra legwork for people like me! it truly is appreciated. now to make a descision...haha!

Well I am pretty sure I am going with one of Claudia R's associates - I was originally going with Claudia, but most of the work I've seen on this website was by Citlalli - don't know whether that was by choice or availability - either way, I have decided to go with Citlalli. I am soo excited - I can't wait to get my pictures taken!! And its not til next year!ahahaha

 

I had originally had my heart on Elizabeth Medina as well, but this forum is brilliant as I found other photographers who also do exceptionally great work, for lower prices.
