Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

My flowers were under 500.00 but i told Jodi-Anne my budget.. and then she worked with me to help me stay within my budget. having said that, i am pretty simple. all i am getting is 3 bridesmaids bouquets, a groom boutineere, 3 groomsman bouts, and a brides bouquet.  so it depends on the types of flowers, and what you want.. ie decorations etc...

if Tai Flora is not responding to you, then send an email to your WC, and tell her that... after i did that.. Jodi-Anne responded to me promptly lol... it is like the WC's have poking sticks hahah..

Good Luck!

Thanks HoneyBee! I'm hoping to do something similar... keep the cost down by using other decorations mixed with the flowers. Let me know what you come up with!

$500 is a very reasonable budget! I'm also looking for centerpieces and something for the arch so we'll see what she comes back with! I got a response within a day for the first email I sent... I'm still waiting to hear back about my 2nd email and it's been two weeks! I'll give it another day or two.. then I may have to try a coordinator!

I organized my flowers with Jodi-Ann, I have centerpieces that are 3 cylinder vases with submerged orchids (3 different heights) and 4 white votives for $60/table. boutonieres are $20 and wrist corsages were $30 (thank goodness that i only needed 2 of them!) my bouquet is expensive, but I figured it is going to be in many photos so I'd better make it good! Its ivory roses, orchids and a few little baby blue hydrangeas...it's $140. The bridesmaid version is $80, very similar to prices here. Make sure she gives you what is included in the package as well!

I thought that Swept Away was the perfect change from the Iberostar.  It was so nice to see a different part of the island, and the feel of the two resorts are so different.  I would highly recommend it!!  We did the Suites from Wednesday to Wednesday and then Couples Swept Away from Wednesday to Saturday.  I thought we could have used one more day at CSA, but in general, I thought it was the perfect amount of time at both resorts!!

How was Swept Away?  We were thinking of doing that rather than the Grand for a different feel... Wanted to hear your advice on switching :)

Thanks Marlena! The centerpieces sound really pretty and the price is reasonable! I need boutineres for 3 groomsmen, the groom and 3 dad's (divorced and remarried parents) and 3 corsages! Hopefully I can get her down in price on those or come up with an alternative!

If only Jodi-Ann would get back to me already!!

I just wrote to the WC at the Grand to complain about Tai Flora!  I've written to them several times and they still haven't responded.  I just want to get some initial prices so I can compare with an outside vendor (Godfrey Guy).  I don't know how they can require us to pay a vendor fee for the florist when their chosen florist is so unresponsive.

I really love your photos!  Did you bring your photographer with you to Jamaica?

My fiance and I are also planning on going to Negril for a few days after the wedding.  I can't decide where, but I was thinking about some place smaller like the Caves or Rock House or Tensing Pen.  I will look into CSA as well, I've heard great things about those resorts.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
