Originally I was getting one line responses from Jodi-Ann Miller but it has now switched to Staschell. My wedding is just over 3 months away and I need some pricing from them so I can determine if I am going to pay all of their rental costs to have a beach reception or if I am going to stick to Aunt Ruby's.  If I stick to Aunt Ruby's then I think I am going to use a different flower vendor (Floral Fantasies) and just pay the outside vendor fee.  They were great to deal with and would send responses back to me along with prices within one day.

I asked Nicole to start pestering Tai Flora and she replied that she would get Jodi-Ann to contact me today and of course she did not! I have received a response from the owner (Sasha) of Tai Flora once (not saying much, just supplying me with the measurement of their huppa that they rent out, but not the price which I also asked for) and once a reply from Staschell. Nicole said Jodi-Ann was on vacation and today was her first day back. She was gone for a MONTH??????  They could have advised their potential clients about that or at least have someone take over in her absence. I was of the impression that we were not allowed to use any other flower vendor. Can you please give me your contact info for Floral Fantasies (email preferable) because I think I am going to forward to them my flower proposal and see what they can do for me.  Hopefully Staschell gets on the ball and gets you the info you need quickly!  Good luck!

Hey Jreist - I saw on the 'services with extra charges' document that there are passes that cost: Day $75, Night $100, All day/night $150, but I understood this was the cost for non-Iberostar guests to come onto the property. This is what I'm hoping to get clarification on. Surely Iberostar won't charge a Beach guest $30 to come over on wedding day, and $75+ to come over any other day...??

Thanks LolasMom71 - I don't think I've ever heard/read it was free for guests to come over, but that would be awesome if it is the case!

I've put all these Qs to the WC so hopefully I'll know soon. I'll be sure to post her response too.

      Thanks

I asked about that, not for centerpieces but for extra decor maybe for the bar area..I was going to fill the vase with sliced limes and use the bouquets... they said the technique to do a full centerpiece is not done on site, it's done at the florist, so creating the look I wanted would be hard.  I'm still tempted to use them, but fill the vase with clear stones instead or something.  For as expensive as they are, they will not be just tossed on a table somewhere!

In the wedding package information for a legal marriage it notes that we are required to submit a 'notarized copy of the bride and groom birth certificate which must include the fathers name'. Our birth certificates in Canada do not have a mother or fathers name on them. Does anyone know exactly what is required? Just notarized photocopies or our passports and birth certificates, or something more?

Hi Shauna, you will have to request the long format of your birth certificates. Just Google it and you can find a firm online to get them, I think they are $30 each.

I asked my travel agent about this and she says she thinks that your father's last name being your maiden name is already on the birth certificate so that should suffice.  I sent notarized docs (costing $56 to notarize) by UPS to Jamaica on slow service and it is costing $78!!!!! Unbelievable!!!  Everything sure adds up. If I get notifyed by the WC that there is an error with the birth certificate I will surely let you guys know.

I've tried emailing here twice in September and have not heard a word from her. My wedding isn't until January though, I just wanted to touch base to see what info she needed to get things rolling. I sent a fairly detailed email, but  have heard nothing.

I am also having a tough time getting a hold of Tai Flora and am in the same boat. I want to have a reception dinner on the beach but they will not return my emails so I really have no idea what their availability is to rent the items, let alone the cost. Our wedding is Jan. 14th, so a week after yours. It would just be nice to know what's going on.
