Iberostar Rose Hall Brides - Post all info/questions here!

Recommended Posts

I was hoping some of the past brides could tell me the size of the huppa at the Suites.  If you do not know the sizes could you at least tell me how much fabric you purchased and took with you to decorate the huppa  on the beach?

Thank you!

Iberostar Brides: I came across a wonderful candle company the other day. I've been looking for travel candles to include in my OOT bags, and found the Travel Tin Company. I ordered three 6 oz tins on Thursday and they were on my front step this morning!!  Oh, and they offer a 40% discount per order of 50 candles or more  and they have flat rate shipping of $4.99.

Let me get to the most imporant part, the scents! OMG I ordered Caribbean Colada, Ocean & Jamaica Me Crazy! They all smelled WONDERFUL, but let me just tell you the Caribbean Colado is OFF THE FREAKING HOOK!  I will be placing my order.

If interested in ordering. You can email Nachelle Wallace @ [email protected]. The website address is www.traveltins.com.  Check it out!

Yolanda

PS: Before I forget, the 6 oz travel tins are $7.99, but if you order more than 50, the price drops to $4.79 per tin! Think about it.

I'm trying to decide on entertainment for the bonfire and the reception. Has anyone hired or plan on hiring the Mento or Steel Drum band? How were the resort DJs? I was told that I have an option of an onsite or offsite DJ. Anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Thanks, Yolanda

We're going to use the steel drum band as I heard they are good. However, we are not using the resort dj as one of my girlfriends just got back from her wedding at the Suites and said he sucks. We booked an outside dj. Music is an important part of our wedding, so we can't have nonsense in between.

Hey! for us, we are doing the steel pan band for the ceremony. we will have them playing while people are being seated, playing for us girls walking down the aisle, and then playing during the champagne toast after the wedding...

Then for the bonfire we are just going to get the resort DJ.. we just want to make it simple :) I will be loading a list of Must have songs for the dj.. and if he doesn't have them then i will will have them on my ipod hehehe just in case :) aside from that i am not too picky :)

I know that many of the past brides on here have used Rashel for their make-up and I love her work.  I was wondering though, does she just do your make-up and hair (her assistant) or your bridal parties too?  I am looking to have 4 bridesmaids, so there would be 5 of us having hair and make-up done.  I didn't know if she and her assistant would be able to do everyone.  Also, is that too many people to get ready in the same room?  Just wondering what others have done or are planning to do with a larger group.

Really, he sucks that bad? What if you premake your own wedding CD's and just have him handle the changing of CD's in betwen? Did you book an outside DJ in Jamaica?

Yay, I'm so excited I finally got moderator approval so I can start posting and it will actually show up, lol. My name is Stephanie and my fiance and I are getting married 12/3/11 at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. These boards have been SO helpful so far. Even after I spent a good 10 hours reading through all 300+ plus pages. I feel like I "know" some of you since I've been a lurker for the longest. No creeper, promise. msnwink.gif

Looking forward to many more discussions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
