hi there!

We let people know the group rates would be held until Sept. 20, our wedding is in April, so it's quite a bit of time in between, I think some may wait and book on their own, who knows! We asked that everyone RSVP by mid-February which gives us time to coordinate with the resort and finish up our last minute details like OOT bags, etc...

I put a preliminary response card in the STD that gives like 6 weeks for a response.  So people who are expecting to come will let us know and then the others that are not coming can put they aren't coming.  I figure those that say they are not coming are probably pretty set in their decision.  That way I figure our number will go down from the initial RSVPs, so at least we will have some sort of maximum number.  There is also a section under the yes we are coming part that asks whether or not they are booked or not.  When we send the actual invites, we will have another RSVP that asks for a more final decision.

I put on my RSVP "Please kindly respond ASAP, so the bride and groom can plan accordingly." Then on the invite when I provided info about booking I said it is strongly advised to book 10 months in advance. I know some people will wait until they have the money saved up to RSVP, but I did not want to scare anyone off by giving them too early of a date to respond by. I am planning on contacting those I have not heard from by Jan 2012, which is 6 months out, so I can get a general idea of #'s.

Hope this helps... I was in the same boat!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
