Pastor--We didn't tip the pastor because it was included in the package. Didn't think about that one actually

DJ--We rented the Mango Walk Club for 2 hours that included the DJ--No tip either.

Nicole & Tiffany--we tipped $100 to split between them. I wish we could have tipped more, but we were going broke.
We also tipped the restaurant staff for our welcome dinner and the wedding dinner. Our parents and some guests got money together and tipped the wait staff bc they such as amazing job!

Welcome Dinner--$40

Wedding Dinner--$80

However, be careful if you tip the staff. we gave all the money to the head waiter and asked him to distribute the tip evenly. We're not entirely sure if they distributed the money, but we hope so!

Bring a lot of singles to tip randomly. You can also get change or singles at the front desk. That really helped out to break some of our bigger bills.

:)

My make-up artist was so awesome that I decided to take her to Iberostar with me. She is actually moving to the Cayman Islands next week and it only cost me a couple hundred dollars to fly her over.

I have very thick hair and need something with power but really need the extra space in my suitcase so I don't want to pack one.

It was a combo of both. I gave a list of what I wanted (eg. details rings, wedding dress, lots of family photos, group shot) but we also just ran it with too.

Did you send a list of photos you wanted to Misha ahead of time or did you just let her run with it?

How are you future brides coming along with making preparations for your weddings such as DIY projects, invitations etc? I can't believe our wedding is now 70 something days away! I've got to start working on our programs, brochures, OOT bags...ahh the list goes on! All soooooo exciting though! woot.gif

It would be nice if I knew my final headcount so that I could start working on the DIY projects like my pre travel brochures and OOT bags...I am 93 days out and still do not have a clear idea of how many people are coming. So frustrating.

Girl me too. The booking deadline for our trip is July 22nd. I sent an email to guests who are still dragging their legs on Wed to remind them about the booking deadline and to also let them know that after the deadline no bookings will be accepted. For now I know we have a guaranteed 30 people. I pray we get to the full 50 (or I'll even take 40) that we are expecting. We shall see!

Wedding isn't until April but I've started working on the OOT bags! lol! I keep finding great deals on stuff I want to put in them so I'm estimating # i'll need. If I'm over, I'll sell it later, if I'm under... well, I'll have to figure something out! lol

The round table are 71.5 in diameter 29 in height. Tiffany told me this was in cm but I took out my measuring tape and it HAS to be inches.  I ordered some linens from efavourmart.com and paid about $11 each for them.  I have not recieved them yet so cannot comment on the quality but they look nice online.  Tai Floral quoted me $45 per table cloth for renting. Way too much! I also ordered organza chair sashes from the same company for only $0.79 each! The resort only has silver, white and gold.

Hi ladies,

I just wanted to let you know I just got back from my wedding/honeymoon/vacay at IBRB.  Everything turned out great!  I will post pics and a review soon. Just wanted to let you all know I didn't do much communication with the resort, but I did bring a lot of my decor and everything was perfect!  If you have any questions you need an answer to right away, it's best to email me: [email protected].  Until then, happy planning....pics soon to comesmile36.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
