I researched a ton of websites and ended up using Wedding Planning Guide and Free Wedding Websites - mywedding.com. Our guests and I love the website. The best part is that it's FREE!!!

      I'm using www.synthasite.com

It's completely free, no ads, unlimited hosting. It's easy to use. I wanted to design a site that would be both in French and English and none of the pre-formatted wedding sites would allow me to do that. With synthasite, no problem ! I chose a template in which I could replace the banners with my pictures selection. I actually created 3 sites : the home page, the English site and the French site but all of them are linked together and as it is the same template. iit looks like only one.

You can set-up passwords as needed.

we also used weddingannouncer.com because you could change the titles of all the sections, and it was really simple to use. :)

I used weddingtracker.com - there were so many options to personalize and great planning software with it. I'm not sure if it is still going on, but they were running a holiday special for half off - $30 for a year of service!

I used wedding window and I can say that it was worth every single penny! I tried other free sites when I started my research, but they just didn't have the capability that I needed (guest RSVP, ability to upload photos, ability for guests to download things, password protected spaces, ability to easily activate and deactivate areas of the site without deleting them, and the ability to have a custom domain name to make it easy.)

Also, weddingwindow had the most customizable designs and was so easy to use. So many people have commented how much they love our site, and people tell me they go there all the time to see what is new! It's made planning the wedding SO EASY!

Here is our site - Wedding Website - John & Jen - Welcome

Good luck with the wedding site selection!

I love seeing what everyone has done with their websites. I am using mywedding.com and found it really easy to set up.

Glad I found this thread. I was trying to decide between the free web sites from The Knot or mywedding.com.
