Thank You Cards...

What are you girls doing for thank you cards? Did you pick something to match your invitations? Are you making your own?

 

I'm totally at a loss as to what I should do. I was going to buy the ones that match my invites but it ended up being out of my budget at the time.

I honestly don't think it matters what you write them on, as long as you write them. I did mine on a total hodgepodge of homemade, ones from Target, ones from nicer stores, etc. I don't think anyone cares if they match.

For our shower thank-yous we're printing out cards with our wedding caricature on them that a friend is doing for us. For the wedding we are having our photog. take a pic of us standing in front of the words "Thank You" written in the sand and printing that out on notecards through VistaPrint.

 

That being said, I totally agree with the PP--I don't think it matters if they match your invites or what they look like so long as you write them.

we picked one of our favorite photos and made a thank you card online.

it was more personalized and people got to see a pic if they were not close by.

I got ones that matched my invites, but I agree with Tammy I dont think it matters at all. People dont really care. Good luck writting them all! How many do you have to write?

I plan to also pick a favortie photo or create a photo montage and send that out. A basic thank you is fine too, nothing fancy but I really like to have a pic whenever I receive a wedding thank you.

I am going to try to do the classic thank you picture (shown below) and make cards on vista print.

 

Does anyone know where I could make those big cards with Thank You on them?

I am doing this right now too Melissa, and I want to shoot myself! LOL! I am so sick of it! How many nice things can you say about corningware?! Hehehe. Anyway my point is I just went to Hallmark and they had these really nice ones that were fairly simple with a seashell embossed on the front, really nice quality and perfect as thankyou's after a beach wedding (I hope!)

I have a bunch of different thank you cards at home and will probably just use those, I don't think it matters if they all match. But I do want to send a picture out since most people won't be joining us and we'll probably do the thank you picture in the sand, as well. I Just can't decide if we should make the picture into a card or just send the card and include a picture.
