I made my daughter a quilt for her crib before she was born. Whilst she lived at home she would sleep with it. Just a few weeks ago Katie and her new husband moved into a new apartment and we went over to see it and I walked into their bedroom and there on the bed was the blankie! I laughed and commented on it and she said "yeah, I'm not giving that up" I was surprised :)

mine has a blue and a red ribbon tied around his neck, but i'm not sure if that was something my grandparents added before giving it to me.

I still have a rubbermaid full of stuffed animals embarrest.gif I just can't bear to part with them!

There are two however that have a special place in my bedroom closet, my teddy bear that I've had since I was born, and a stuffed monkey named Lucille that I was given when I broke my arm (I was six). My teddy's head is hanging on by a thread, and one of his eyes keeps popping out, but there is no way he'll be going anywhere any time soon.

i do still have my blankie, but i dont sleep with it anymore. i keep it in a pajama bag (like when you buy a set of pajamas, and they come in the cloth bag?) in the bottom of a drawer. i dont know if it actually still qualifies as a blanket anymore as its mostly just the silky "tickly" (what i used to call the edges, like because it tickles you) edging with torn, loved strands of knit fabric in the middle. i'll have to take a pic and post later, you guys will die laughing, its so loved to pieces. one side of the tickly has this funny spot where my grama's dog tore it and my mom had to try and fix it.

she had to do the sneak it away in the middle of the night wash for me too. thats funny because my dog has a "baby" stuffed frog named Frog Man, and when we wash it we have to show it going in the washer to him so he doestn freak out all over the house looking for it. if he knows its in the wash he is ok :) sorry, dog-tangent wink.gif

i don't, but my little sister (who is 26) still has her blankie...it was passed down from my older sister, to me, to her when she was born. when she's stressed, she wraps it around her head like a turban, it's freakin hilarious - I'm going to see if I can find a pic of that, I know i took one when we were in college

Fun thread! I have my original bear and blanket from a baby, they are packed away. When the bear got to threads i got a stuffed dog named Butch, still have him too although Mom had to restuff him a few times. When i was in HS my boyfriend broke up with me and my coworkers gave me a giant stuffed duck to cheer me up, he stayed in my bed. FH hated the duck so our 1st Xmas he bought me a gaint teddy bear which was a big mistake b/c I still won't give him up. I can't cuddle with FH when i sleep, I cuddle with the bear. FH calls him Drooly bear cause he says I drool in my sleep! I guess after the wedding I got to get him out of the bed...lol!

Also I have my kids, my 2 build a bear puppies, Poopie and Dufas. I will post a pic some day. FH built both of them for me and we spend countless hours doing funny things with them and making up crazy stories. We should write children's books or something...

I also have the giant rubbermaid of my animals, can't give them up!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
