2 more days to go until the election is over - i have been completely consumed and obsessed with this election - it is really starting to annoy me how psycho i am about it and i can't stop thinking about it LOL

regardless of who you are voting for (my intention in starting this thread is not to start a political debate), if you are obsessed where are you getting your news? this is the worst part of my obsession - i just keep adding more blogs, websites, news orgs and pundit coverage to my already long list

Wow, we just had a candidate come to town for a last-minute speech. They had it 2 blocks from our house Sat night. ALL night Friday night they spent setting up, testing the sound system (!!!), letting the bands practice, etc. I'll be glad when this is all over!

I'm very excited for Tuesday! I plan to get a pizza, put on my candidates t-shirt, sit on the couch and watch the results come in!

So many of the channels that we have are American though, so of course we're exposed to a lot of it. The Palin/Biden debate was the same night as ours... and I watched the American one! Oops!

My mom and I chat about the U.S. election a lot, even though we can't vote (although I'd love to!). We'll be having a mini election party Tuesday night.

My mom is a little more obssessed than I am; she has notifications on google any time there is a new hit on the election posted. OMG... she knows EVERYTHING. And as a writer, she researches everything to death as well... she's managed to dig up some interesting (and amusing) points!

I am totally obsessed with the election and so is FI! He swears he's buying a bottle of rum for Election Night, hehe. I have been phonebanking from home for the past couple of weeks and have even donated a couple of times-- something I've never done before.

Alyssa, one of my faves is FiveThirtyEight.com: Electoral Projections Done Right. They have all kinds of stats and polling analysis on there, and also have a team traveling the country reporting on the campaign. Great resource.

I am anxious for it to be all over though!

OMG, I am completely consumed by it. I'm already planning on putting our 4th of July (Flags, ect.) decorations outside our house on Tuesday to show our pride and enthusiasm!

The worst part is I am getting induced on Wednesday and I can't seem to decide what I'm most excited about! LOL... Ok, I guess I know, but still. This is going to be the best week ever!

That sounds like a fun way to ring in the results!
