I have seen them everywhere in the threads..thanks for clearing it up for me, I was just calling mine welcome bags. Great idea on the advil...it is something I ALWAYS forget and end up needing.

Well I thought i was sorted but the photographer wants a 50% deposit lol i'm not at home at the mo so can't access paypal but i thought shit more cash I don't have lol

I swear I could kill FI for his bright idea of going away and inviting people lol especially FMIL lol

Had a fight tonight because I said if she gives him anything as a wedding pressie (which I doubt!) I don't want it lol so if she gives him cash go buy himself something nice lol so 5 mins of arguing he said you aren't going to give in are you lol I said no so i win lmao

Hi Everyone...

I am just starting the process. We were supposed to get married in san diego, but decided to bag it last week...and now we want to get married in playa del carmen. Going through the "interview" process with the possible vendors. I did buy a wedding dress, we did get save-the-date cards (but now they're all wrong)...I did pick out my bridesmaid dresses and we bought our wedding bands!

I am definitely a slacker...I'm just having a hard time committing to a planner/vendor. I think I'm getting close, but it would be nice to actually see everything before signing or depositing money!!

Casey I feel the same way- I just put it aside cause I feel a little overwhelmed. The big stuff is done though...
dress, photog, std, (working on DIY invites currently), down payment on resort.

I think the rest will have to fall into place a little once I know how many people are actually coming (for OOT bags and stuff)

? I don't know...

Has anyone heard anything about the blue parrot hotel in playa del carmen? Has anyone actually been there? I'm reading mixed reviews....we don't want to stay at a place that has teenybopper parties, but we want something fun and low key.....any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Yeah, me too. I totally want to do all the fun stuff like fans and whatnot but I refuse to start buying it all until I have a good read on how many people are coming.

How are everyone's invitations coming along? I get my pocketfolds in tomorrow and I am putting the finishing touches on my soft copy of my invites... I have changed the look of them at least three times. I just want to go and print them out so its done and can't be changed.

My son's bday party is this weekend, so I'm not going to get a chance to work on them... sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
