Thanks in advance ladies
Unless your TA has been in contact with the resort on your behalf, then yes, you'll need to contact the resort and secure your wedding date with them. Normally, the TA's don't do that, in terms of making your wedding arrangements with the resort.

I'm suprised your agent didn't mention/ask you anything about whether or not you have contacted the hotel. But at any rate, you've got time.....

Hi Tauristar,

Welcome and congrats! You can do it either way really but what really helped me decide (once and for all) was speaking to a TA... most of them have actually visited these resorts and gone to weddings at them and they know what the good, bad or ugly for each.

Just a thought! Good luck with your planning, these threads will save your life :)

Yay!!! I am so glad there are other April/May 2010 brides out there! Got a confirmation with the resort today for our date (April 28th!!!)... just have to wait for the judge to confirm to make it 100% official. At least we all don't have to try and be patient for our big days alone!

Also, I am definitely with kittenheart... we had no idea where we wanted to go until we spoke with our TA and she made our choice very easy based on what we wanted and what our guests would enjoy!

Oh, good call! Then I'll start the search for a TA! I've got a couple of places that I like so far, but I think a TA will help me cut through the clutter.

great suggestions, Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
