Hi lovely ladies!!

I finally got around to organizing and sorting through all of our wedding goodies, and there are many items that won't be coming with us to Mexico. I'm looking to sell them all ASAP, so I created a listing. Here's a chance to get first dibs ;)

Hey ladies, it has just come to my attention that I do not like the legal script for the ceremony at all:(  Does anyone know if it is able to be changed or altered??  I really don't want to have to get married ahead of time just to have a symbolic ceremony.  Any advice??  Thanks

Unfortunately, for legal reasons you are not allowed to alter the script. However, I believe you are able to add your own vows at the end. If the script is a huge issue, you can also change to a symbolic wedding and then you are able to do whatever you like with the script. But you will have to get married legally somewhere else.

Hi,

 

This is one of the main reasons why we recommend doing a group block, because then your rooms are held and guaranteed for your guests. I know brides don't want to do it because they do not want to put a deposit down but we have heard so many sad stories of even parents not being able to get a room when the resort sells out.

 

Is it the last weekend in June?  If so, I have a family suite that I am about to release.  Also, Azul Beach is right next door so they can stay there (for more $$).

I have stayed at the resort next door, Secrets Silversands.  We are going there next weekend for the 3rd time in 3 years.  We love it there but it may be more expensive.  It is an adults-only resort.  Since we have 4 teenagers coming to the wedding, we are looking at other options for our June 2014 wedding.  Azul Sensatori is one of our top choices.  Azul Beach is on the other side and is a 'sister' property to Azul Sensatori.  One of these should be available.  However, you may have to pay additional for some events at "AS".  Check with your TA and Wedding Coordinator.

They wouldn't let me add one to my detail sheet. I'm a little mad because I requested one and they said no. Grr that kind of makes me mad, since now I printed all of my brochures and schedules saying that we are not having one.
I literally just asked my WC yesterday to add a rehearsal to my detail sheet, which she did... But, she did mention that it is not guaranteed. If anything I'll just have my own little rehearsal with my FI and parents if they can't accommodate.

Megan, did they charge you extra to do the legal ceremony in private the morning of your wedding day and then a symbolic ceremony later on in the day? I'm curious how that all works... I'm not a fan of the legal script either. This concept may be something I need to look into.

It's so infuriating... I have to pay $500 for the judge (but he is technically part of my very expensive wedding package) and then I have to pay another $500 for the symbolic ceremony! Makes me sick, but if I want to legitimately be married on that day then that's the price I have to pay. In the end, it's just money and the date is important to me.

I am trying to figure out what I should do about the bridal bouquet and three bridesmaids bouquets. Is anyone using real touch/silk flowers if so are these using a specific company. I can't see spending a ton of money on flowers. Please let me know...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
