were you charged an additional fee for the colored sheers then by the onsite wc's?

And thanks again I'm sure you'll be pleased with their work :)  The highlight DVD was an extra 300 buxs tho on top of the $1650 but I thought it was worth it, no one wants to sit and watch our whole ceremony/wedding day thats over an hour long lolol so the highlight is perfect for family and friends who could not be there to view.

Where did you get your earrings from? I've been hunting around for the perfect earrings and just can't find what I'm looking for but these are beautiful. Thanks x

rkf1046 Thank you for sharing your pictures. I love how your sheers were draped. I think we are going to do something similar, if not exactly the same. We may just do white sheers, but with the attached starfish. Congratulations to you and your beautiful wedding. I can't wait to see more pictures and read your planning thread!

mzgillis316 Your wedding video is great!! I just love how your hubby can't keep his hands off you :) I'll have to look into the video idea as well. It such a great take away from your wedding to bring home to your family and friends that couldn't make it.

I have a couple Trash the Dress session questions, for those who have already been through it or plan to along with me...

            1) I'm not planning on using my ceremony dress for the TTD, but I'm having the hardest time trying to find a cheaper dress, but still pretty enough for pictures. Can you let me know where you have gotten your dresses?

            2) For the photo shoot, do you set a hair and make up appointment? I'm just thinking that the morning after my wedding (when we plan to do the TTD), my hair is going to be a wreck after having it styled for the wedding. Not sure I can make it picture perfect myself. Any suggestions?

            3) My FI has no idea what's in store for him.... how have you ladies gotten your FIs to love this idea? I LOVE it, but he could really care less about all of the picture taking.

We love mojitos and were excited about the Mojito Bar so for the signature drink, I asked my miami WC if we could have one and she said yes.    We asked if they could do a taste test between mango mojitos (my husband's fav) and pineapple mojitos (my fave).  My Miami WC added it to my detail sheet and when we had our appt with our on-site coordinator, she had them bring us both to try.  They were very accomodating and will do just about whatever signature cocktail you would want.  Since we had brought the card with the sig cocktail (I had printed both since I wasn't sure which we would like) and cocktail stirrers with our initial on them to include in the drinks, she suggested setting up a table to present the sig cocktail to our guests.  We had a choice to have these at the cocktail party or the dinner reception.  We chose to have them at the cocktail party before our reception along with the mexican fiesta menu (I think that is what it was called), but you could have it at either.

Thanks for those answers.  I will definitely spend this break printing everything.  Beautiful pictures!  Love the signature drink.....how did you coordinate that?  Did you have a cocktail party before the reception?  Super excited to see the planning thread and more pics!!

It wasn't a kit per se and I looked everywhere to see if I could find one.  There was another bride on this Azul Sensatori forum that had done something similar - I believe her username is Milejilo (look her up on the planning forum too-she's got great ideas as well).  My friend, who was married in the Domincan Republic, found frames at Target and bought one for the both of us and then I ordered the nautilus shells from Ebay.  If the shells had been bigger we could have used all the sand and it would have filled the frame, but unfortunately the shells only held about a 1/3 of the sand we brought which didn't quite fill the frame halfway.  The downside to this was that the sand completely mixed up and you couldn't see the layers anymore.    I think we are just going to recreate once the holidays settle down plus my husband was very generous with his sand and was out before I was halfway done with mine!!

I just wanted to say our wedding and overall experience was AMAZING!!! The onsite coordinators are so helpful and really ensure everything is done the way you want.  Elena was our onsite coordinator and everything pretty much went without a hitch.  I would, however, encourage everyone to bring pics of how you want everything to look.  If not there is a little room for interpretation.  I printed out pics of everything and then proceeded to leave them on the printer

I am bringing and paying for 2 photographers to accompany us for our wedding week (trip fully paid and cost of wedding photo package).   I have chosen the family style meal option (39$ pp) for the reception meal.  Do I need to include the photographers???  My thought was that I am paying for their trip to an all inclusive resort already - why don't they just have a break and go eat elsewhere and then just come back?  Only problem I can think of is that I plan to have a mariachi band playing during our dinner and it may make for some nice photos...

Anybody thought this through or any past brides that can provide some feedback?

Hope everyone had an lovely Christmas and is looking forward to an amazing new year!
