Azul Sensatori Brides - POST HERE!

Hey,

Just wondering how you got the free wedding pkg offered to you?  Usually it's only a promo for US brides and I see you are from Toronto, so I'm curious!!  Thank you!

Sky wedding - I thought about it too - but in the end I chose the beach because we've always wanted a true beachfront wedding.

I have attached a document with all the private reception sites.

Not sure.  It has always been an option.  I haven't actually "booked" the pkg because I didn't do all the math until a week ago but I know for sure that it was offered and discussed with my TA.  The only thing you have to do is buy an upgraded room - premium.  She even verified availability of the room for me already based on the "free wedding" pkg.  Also - if you look at the Lomas site you can see that the offer is valid in the US or Canada.

Hi ladies!

Sorry it's been so long, I've been traveling for work and on Sunday off to the Bahamas!! I can't wait. This will be our last vacation as an engaged couple. Only 6 months until our wedding!

I'm also waiting on confirmation on the Plaza Zavez for the reception. l wonder why it takes so long??

I did hear from a past bride that you can transfer your sheers from the ceremony location to the reception area without cost (with a little agressiveness), so keep that in mind.

I feel so lost and indecisive on flowers! and everything for that matter. I think planning a wedding for a year is too long. Too much time to change your mind! After our trip this week, it will be planning central in our house.

I've been so stressed with the details of the AHR, but everything is so expensive. I don't want to pay reception prices for a party. Grrr!

I've confirmed the Plaza for ours on the 26th.  It took a week and a half before I got the confirmation if that is any reassurance.

Here is a pic of the vases I would like to double as centre pieces for the reception - were they the same ones you were thinking?:

Hope you have a great bday and vacation!  I'm jealous bunny_4.gif

Thanks for the well wishes! So looking forward to a week away! I will keep my eyes open for nice tequila glasses and macaras. (I'll try and take pictures if they let me...)

As for the flower vases....not at all the ones I had been thinking of! LOL I think those could be quite nice as table deco, especially if they can do the flowers with something that hangs down just a little (vines, etc.).

It certainally was NOT offered. We basically went after it with our TA. We are in a premium room, and you need to have at least 15 other room nights (ie. 3 other rooms booked for 5 nights each, etc.) to get the promotion. As far as I know, you can visit the Karisma site and look under specials. Even if the promo is only for US or Canada, ask! You might not get the full promo, but certainally gain a few bonuses. Originally I was trying for the bride/groom stay free, but instead we got the free wedding package. JUST ASK!

As for the tall vases, the ones I saw were almost more like large pots. Maybe we have different pictures?

Anything specific I can keep my eyes out for? FI and I are going down with friends next week to celebrate my bday :)

Could you email the pictures to me as well please? I would love to get a better idea of what looks good.

murmel:

were you upgraded to the premium suite because you had that wedding package or did you qualify for the free wedding package b/c you were booking a premium room?  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
