Thanks Jessalyn! I think for some reason when my mom saw me with the veil it filled the vision she had for a "bride" - I wasn't really planning on wearing one originally. But I'm glad I got it. Especially since I am now selling my dress after the wedding - I can at least hold onto the veil to keep for sentimental reasons!

I am planning on wearing a veil as well. I really want flowers in my hair, so there will be flowers and a veil. I think veils are pretty. My aunt is making mine and I think it will be about butt length, with 2 different lengths.

my veil is cathedral length....but my train is super long. I love the feeling of having a veil on, it makes me feel like a bride.

I am wearing a veil! Right now it will be a very simple one without rhinestones or beading and waltz length.

I'd also like to do a flower in my hair.

I agree how often do you get to wear a veil and I like how they appear in pictures.

I am wearing a veil. It's chapel length and has an organza edge. Here is a pic of what I used as inspiration:

I had the wonderful Candi Merle of crowning glory designs make it for me. I think I paid around $65 for the veil with blusher. Her email is crowning_glory1@yahoo.com if anyone is interested. She does a great job and is super reasonable.

How long are we talking? ...as long as my train? I need more specifics....I already decided no tiara. I like the flower idea though.

By the way, that is a beautiful pic. ....I love the lace on the veil...not sure if the lace would work with my dress...hmm..

thank you. Veils just make the whole thing feel more bridal and real to me. I am wearing a hair feather instead of flowers. Hopefully i can pull the look off!

Hmm I think I'm going to attempt to make my own veil. I know how to sew and I think it would be fun. I'll just ahve to be REALLY patient (something I'm not LOL). But I want 2 tiers and just under the shoulders. Sew on some swvorski (sp) crystals and satin ribbon or somehting along the edge. I'll definatley have to make a protoge first!

What other types of fabric do they use for a veil other than crinolin?
