The day after we arrived in the resort we went to the weddings office and met with Cecilia - she gave me a slip of paper with the things for me to do.  One of them was my appointments for hair and makeup, as well as appointments for the couples massage and facial we received with the eternity honeymoon pacakge, we went straight to the spa and booked them when we were there.

I had the ultimate package so hair and makeup was included, she did an absoultely fantastic job, I told her what I liked and she did exactly that only much better then I could have done.  everybody commented on it.

In regards to the menu, we had somebody allergic to seafood, so the soup / salad / desert had to be the same but we were allowed to have individuals choose from a choice of 2 main courses and we had to provide Cecilia with these chooses 1 week prior.

Hope this helps,

Tori

Hi Tori,

Have you posted a review yet? I am looking forward to reading it! :)

Also did you see her selection of flowers in a catalog? Did she have alot of selections? This is what I am most nervous about!

I can not say thank you enough girls for the all the information you have provided on here. I am getting married at Dreams may 24, 2011 and feel so at ease reading about Juan and the photography i was really stressing about that. Also about how good Claudia is. I am getting so so excited.

Can anyone tell me how much it was to get their MOH and BM hair/makeup done?

How about the cost of BM bouquets was it worth it?

I am trying to find someone who can tell me about the handmade banana leaf picture albums they sell!!  I saw them last year in the bahamas, i'm sure they sell them in mexico too.  I really want to do these as my wedding favors, but i'm not sure if they are easy to find, or if they even have them around cancun.  Anyone who has seen one of these or knows anything about it please help!! It will make me crazy to wait all the way until i get there and HOPE i find them, considering trying to find a way to get them before we leave, although i haven't had much luck on the internet.

Hi ladies..i haven't posted anything lately. I have been so busy with the holidays my sons sports etc. I am glad to see all the latest brides have had beautiful weddings. I was going to use the sound system for my entrance. I think i changed my mind, has anyone used the flautist and violinist for the ceremony?? My wedding is 4 months away so I am starting to really get things done. I am a very laid back bride..i think i am missing the bride gene undecided.gif which is why i am leaving all the small details for the last minute. I also want to know if anyone knows where i can see pictures of the lounge furniture for the cocktail hour? Does anyone have pictures of the centerpieces they offer through the florist the hotel uses. I have asked Cecilia in previous email but she has yet to send me any. On my site visit i saw some nice ones but it was in a book of pictures and was wondering if anyone has actual pictures of flowers at actual weddings? Thanks in advance ladies. Thanks to all the brides who have posted reviews in the past few months..they are great and you guys all look beautiful! Starting to get excitedwoot.gif

    • Hundreds of years before, the basic jewellery were made out of seashells and bone, trees and animal skin. In the ancient times, the Egyptian jewellery first came into existence. Egyptian culture inhabited technology, gemstones, and precious metals early in comparison to other places. They were inspired by the culture of royalty and aristocracy which led to thinking noble like having a deep appreciation for luxury. This made them create impactful jewellery and leading trends. Copper was the first metal that came into existence through which we as humans got so many jewellery items.  However, the major focus on jewellery came when they discovered gold. This allowed the Egyptian to rule as the first jewellery maker. The ancient Egyptians valued adornment and were worn by both men and women.  Material and metals: The plethora of material which was used in the making of this Egyptian jewellery was basically gold and silver. Egyptian has mostly attracted towards gold and the availability of silver was less in Egypt as compared to any other place. The colour variation was due to the mixing of elements such as alloys like copper, iron, silver into gold.  Charm jewellery: It was then also an interesting concept to have charms in necklaces, bracelets and other jewellery items. It’s just they were made up of stones and precious or semi-precious jewellery. In this picture above the necklace is adorned with precious stones in different charms shapes. Gem and stones: The more royal pieces of Egyptian jewellery were adorned with the precious jewellery items. The gemstones were semi-precious stones, precious stones are other various gems. The most prized stone were lapis lazuli, rock crystal, and pearls. Emeralds were also found in these jewellery pieces. These were made from ground quartz and then molded into expensive gemstones. They are also used as charm jewellery when molded or carved in different shapes.
    • Congratulations! Where you are you getting married?
    • It’s my wedding five months from now and we badly need ideas because everyone’s mind is not working right now and I, as the bride, cannot even think of what I really want to have on my wedding day. I want something simple yet unique. Something that suits for Colombian women and bride. Can you help me out with this? Thanks! I will really appreciate your comments!
    • I know it is really tough job to get everything at best cost. I would like to suggest to contact local wedding planner or decorators to get the quotes. It will take some time but by comparing different quotes you will get the best package.
    • If you want to enjoy your wedding then go for a dance floor. It is a precious moment of your life and you should enjoy it.
