If you want Juan to take your pictures you have to pay his fee. I flew my own photographer in and didn't use who came included in my package. I used Juan for my ttd session and paid extra for that. I was able to swap other services for no extra cost because I didn't use their photographer. I think their name is Vallarta tours and I honestly never saw their work. Maybe your wc can send you a link to see their work. I took care of the big things through emails. But I will be honest with you I was a very laid back bride and finished all my planning when arrived three days before my wedding. I just made sure to email them what vendors I needed booked and brought with me all the decoration I wanted him to decorate my reception. When I got there I added a lot of new things and ordered it then. Good luck

Hi Mich1011 I paid for a rehearsal dinner and i don't regret it. It was personal and private which is what I wanted. Some people do ask for early reservations but I didn't want to deal with that. Good luck hope it helps.

I spoke to Guillermo and he is great and very efficient. I was having a hard time getting in touch with Juan and I got a phone call directly from Juan about 15 minutes after speaking to Guillermo. I am sure everything will be fine. Three weeks left..getting very excited!!

Hi ladies I haven't signed on in a while. I have been a bit busy with all the last minute planning. A lot of changes have taken place since the last time I was on. New photographer..dj..one less bridesmaid and even a new wc . But I am trying to keep positive that everything will work out in the end. I am a couple weeks away and no use in driving myself crazy. Luckily I am flying my own photographer for my wedding but my ttd the dress session was booked with Juan. I have tried to contact him and nothing yet..( Glad to see everyone is doing well.

Don't worry it will beautiful no matter what! Remember you're on vacation celebrating your wedding. The hotel is beautiful..the only thing that I wasn't crazy about was the main entrance. I was expecting this elaborate entrance like I have seen in other hotels I have stayed in. Don't get me wrong though, it's still nice. Other then that it's beautiful, huge,clean, food is good and the staff is very friendly. The location is great..it's minutes away from all the fun of Cancun. I met Cecilia and she is supppppeeerrr nice. I know things will work out in the end so i am trying not to stress all the small stuff that might go wrong. I read reviews all the time and drive myself crazy too but I am telling you it's beautiful and your guests will enjoy every minute. So exciting your big day is almost here!!!

One of my good friends is good like you..she is a year and half away and is almost done with all her planning. I haven't even started my OOT bags yet . I am sending my invites next week and hope to have a better idea of the total amount of guests. I have 40 booked so far...but I still have a handful of people who have yet to book. As for her flower book, it does consist of real pictures of previous weddings. Everything is pretty...i didn't see anything to spectacular to go crazy over but I am sure they do whatever you want. The flowers the they all around the hotel as decorations are beautiful and I am sure they use the same florist for that as well. My dad owned a florist for years and the flowers she showed me were nice. I asked if they could change things and she said they can do whatever you want but obviously depending on the flower it might raise the price. I might have one of my aunts who continued to work at a florist make me an arrangement.I will take a picture of it and send it to Cecilia and see if they can do it for me. To be honest with you I am not trying to get too crazy with the flowers. I just want to make sure they can put some sort of lighting in the flowers. The backdrop of the hotel and ocean is amazing as is already. I am having my reception on the beach so my biggest thing is having the right lighting under my tables, the flags with the lights and the dance floor that lights up. I hope this helps a little. This thread is great...it's the first time i see it. I am getting married at Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa on May 7, 2011! I am really starting get worried about these flights. So far I have about 40people booked so far but a lot were waiting till after the holidays. I hope they can find cheap flight or else my list of guest will drop. Wow..you are good! I just started really planning all the small details. My wedding is May 7, not too far from yours I did do a site visit in August and went over almost everything with Cecilia. Since then i haven't really done much and I am starting to get worried about getting my invites out and get the rest of the small details settled. Congrats on the engagement and happy planning!!!

Hi ladies..i haven't posted anything lately. I have been so busy with the holidays my sons sports etc. I am glad to see all the latest brides have had beautiful weddings. I was going to use the sound system for my entrance. I think i changed my mind, has anyone used the flautist and violinist for the ceremony?? My wedding is 4 months away so I am starting to really get things done. I am a very laid back bride..i think i am missing the bride gene which is why i am leaving all the small details for the last minute. I also want to know if anyone knows where i can see pictures of the lounge furniture for the cocktail hour? Does anyone have pictures of the centerpieces they offer through the florist the hotel uses. I have asked Cecilia in previous email but she has yet to send me any. On my site visit i saw some nice ones but it was in a book of pictures and was wondering if anyone has actual pictures of flowers at actual weddings? Thanks in advance ladies. Hey Ladies, Just wanted to share with you girls that i just got back from my site visit and loved it. I actually stayed at the Dreams Riviera Cancun and was so disappointed how close the sunbathers were to the actual ceremony site as well as the beach reception. I am so relieved that I picked Dreams Cancun! Dreams riviera is a lot newer but the wedding areas cannot be compared to Dreams Cancun. I am sending my save the dates and can't wait for my guests to start the booking. I have a question for you guys..how soon in advance can i send my invitations? I am a little late in sending the save the dates...so should i just wait a couple of months?? All my info is on my website so for those who book right away should i still send them an invite? I am a very clueless bride. THanks

Hi Ladies...i am a Sottero and Midgley bride. I fell in love with my dress after looking for 4 months. When i went to the bridal shop i made sure to try on all the other dresses they chose for me first. I tried my dress at the end and knew right away it was perfect! Good luck ladies..happy planning!!
