There is a reception ball room in the basement of the resorts.  I'm sure you could use that (they use it as the rain location for the pool receptions)

What about the Pakal music bar? I saw it in your Akumal photo tour... Looks like a nice place!! Do you think we can reserved that place?? Eugenia(our WC) told us we could discuss different option at our meeting(once we arriverd...) but I would like to know it in advance... Just to be sure we have something reserved for our group... Thank you again for you answers

Not sure about papal, but I'd think you could. It's Coba, but so very nice. They have to close down that bar though to guests, so not sure.

Hi ladies,

 

Looking at booking end of Nov 2013 - got package pricing and services for groups (we want a private reception with buffet dinner) and it lists the Hacienda as one of the location options. Has anyone used it? It would be nice but I'm concerned with privacy. Also, do they have music/shows there every night or just Thursdays? Sorry, not having much luck with responses from the resort. Thank you so much in advance!

They have live music in the courtyard pretty much every night and then the disco at midnight.  It's really beautiful there, but I've never seen a private reception.  I wonder what area they'd set it up in?  It could be pretty awesome.

Hi again,

 

 We are getting legally married a few days before we go to Mexico.  We are not keeping it a secret, but we are not going out of our way to share it either ;) 

 

I am starting to write our ceremony script (we are having a symbolic ceremony)  I want it to seem 'real' to our guests. Does anyone know if during a symbolic ceremony, the bride and groom sign anything?  If not, can you request it?

Yes, you can request to sign a certificate provided by the resort.

just wondering what all the other brides out there did for material for the front of the ceremony and ribbons on the back of the chairs? :)
