Foods not available in the US (but are in Canada)

Recommended Posts

I must say that I am not a coffee drinker, and I am usually glad when I drive past the Tim Horton's here and see the drive thru line up, but one of the ambulance attendants bought me an iced capp after a horendous day in the ER and I sucked that thing back!!! I am now hooked on Iced Capps, and get them regularly while at work. (Someone often does a Timmies run for us! LOL). Lastnight FI called to see if we wanted anything and we placed our order! I think they sort of taste like coffee crisp chocolate bars, and I do like them!! Yumm!!!!

They actually make BAKED Old Dutch Creamy Dill chips. I have not had them, but my sister said they are amazing, the best baked chips ever, so it you are worried about calories, check those out for sure. I personally love the fried ones myself :)

They do not have honey dill sauce in the US and it absolutely kills me when I am down in the States. I actually contemplate not ordering chicken fingers because there is no honey dill sauce for me.

OOOOO Tim's and Coffee Crisp... my 2 fav things in the world bout Canada. As for being a parent.. I order Coffee Crisps online all the time in the snack size so my son can bring them into school on holiday party days...they are proud to be completey nut free.. YAY for preschoolers!! Oh and with Tim's when you are in Canada and order a Vanilla Coffee its more cap like than coffee... and just over the border you order the same thing in NY and its NOTHING like the real Canadian kind.

Sorry I have an addiction to those 2 things.. LOL

Another great food that Canada has that I miss is Nanaimo bars.... When I go visit my Dad I go to Tims and get them.. I must control myself but I don't do a very good job when I'm there.

I remember someone was talking about ketchup chips being available in Canada but not the US. I just saw Herrs Heinz Ketchup Chips at KMart. I didn't buy them, but I did almost choke on my Tim Horton's Ice Cap made with chocolate milk, one sugar please. Maybe becuase I live so close to the border?
