That is amazing! I wanted to do DIY this too but was affraid to ruin my heels.

What adhesive did you use and did you have to lacquer the whole shoe to keep the stones/pearls from falling off?

How long did this take you?

After this whole wedding is over and done with I'm going to start Bling-ing!

It is really not that difficult.  I purchased 5000 small flat back pearls on ebay, as well as 1440 each of clear swarovski crystals in 12ss, 16ss and 20s along with several other handfuls of flatback pearls with crystals.  The glue that is used is called E-6000.  The glue dries very fast so you have to work on a small area at a time. The glue has wonderful reviews and seems to have a flexible consistency that will not allow the stones to pop off.  I started with the larger embellishments first and made sure I had the exact same number for each shoe and decorated them to be as identical as possible.  After the larger decorate stones were complete I filled in with the pearls and swarovski Crystals.  I have quite a few crystals and pearls left over, which I plan to use on my OOT bags to embellish and add initials to each.  If you have any other questions I will be glad to assist if possible.

Those are cute!

I'm starting the hunt for shoes now but haven't been able to find anything close to what I'm looking for.  Was hoping for something white with a little bling hehe.  Since our wedding is on the beach I'll likely be doing flip flops, or some kind of flat sandal - no heels for me I don't think :(

I like the middle ones, those are nice with just the right amount of embellishment. As for me I had a specifc vision in mind and did not rest until I found something that matched. It was easier to find my earings that matched my vision first rather than shoes. The shoes I'm still not completely satisfied on though

These are my shoesJessica Simpson Shoes Acadia Peep Toe Pumps.jpg And these are more of what I would love to have weddingshoes.jpg

I guess I could add some sparkle myself and a flower.

And these are my accessories

Hey Chelsea!

Your inspiration shoes are to die for, I absolutely love them. However, if you have the time patience to bling out the Jessica Simpson pumps, I think they will work beutifully with Alma.  I think I'll find myself in a similar boat. It's becoming mission impossible to find a sleekand sexy chartreuse shoe. This is my inspiration shoe...

Hi Tova, Thanks. Your shoes are very gorgeous too. You picked a pretty impossible shoe to duplicate as an inspiration, they truely are one of a kind.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
