It even says on the side where the recent activity is that she hasn't logged in, in like 22 days. My wedding is not till April but it just seems like a long time to wait to get a response. Soon going to call....seems that will be the only way to get quick responses. What have your guys experiences been like with your WC's?

Elsa is also my coordinator and she is averaging about 5 days; this could be because my wedding is two months out, however. My advice would be to ask your questions here first, because 8 times out of 10, someone here will be able to answer your question. That's what I did and I saved my other questions (that no one could answer) for the WC. Hope this helps :-)

Totally agree on asking questions on here first!

So I asked my WC today about having my makeup guy (Fernando) not have to pay a vendor fee because he'll be there less than 3 hours and she told me that unless they're guests they would have to pay a fee. How did you ladies work around this? ERRRRRRRR.

"Hi Jess,

Yes, there is a new law in Mexico about the us dollars so as soon as you get in the country you can go to a bank and change some dollars for pesos.  There is a certain amount of money to exchange per day per person."

So in other words they don't accept the US dollar at all? I'm confused. I'm not sure how much to exchange. Can we tip in US currency at the resort?

Hi Everyone! I am new to this site but it's so exciting to read through all of the posts.   We are getting married in April 2010.  After much research, I have finally chosen the Royal PDC for our wedding.  I look forward to collaborating with all of you.

same going to tip in USD unless told otherwise prior but i think it's more for purchases at the shops & markets....but don't quote me as I'm not 100% sure on any of this and how enforced this is going to be. but better bring the 'ol plastics.

Has anyone used the people that The Royal reccomends and are somehwhat includeded in the package?  I think pictures are so important and would love to use Elizabeth Medina, but almost $5,000 for the smallest package is a little crazy in my opinion.

Anyone have any great other options?

Kayla

We LOVED Elizabeth Medina's style. My FI could go through an entire spiel of why she is "Elizabeth the Great."  We never even got to her pricing because she was booked for our date. We are going with Victor Herrera/He has great style and his packages are more reasonable than 5000. PM me if you want more info.

I'v been trying to keep with all the posts, but work (and life!) has been so crazy!

Anyways, everyone has been a ton of help as always!  I love checking out the updates and new ideas.  Welcome to the new brides!

This peso thing kind of worries me.  It's just another thing unexperienced travelers (my parents!) will have to worry about.  Oh well they need to experience Mexico once in their lifetime, right?!

Jennifer - I feel for you!  That would drive me bananas!!!  " class="bbcode_smiley" height="" src="http://files.bestdestinationwedding.com/images/smilies//sad.gif" title=":(" width="" />  Sorry and I hope everything works out!

As for my planning...We took our Engagement pics almost 3 weeks ago and now we are just waiting to receive them so we can order our STD magnets.

I am in a friend's wedding in October in Puerto Morelos, so we are going to fit in a site visit at the Royal while we are there!  I cannot wait!  I'll try to post some pictures if I can figure out how to upload them by then!

Has anyone made a spreadsheet comparing the Luxury package to any of the other packages?  I need to do it, I just can't seem to get my booty in gear and make a spreadsheet!  How time consuming is it?

Happy planning everyone!

We went through and made a spreadsheet comparing the Luxury vs. Classic vs. Free and just put down what was included in each and what we would want to add back on. It wasn't too time consuming, though. If you PM me I can send it to you :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
