Allison&Kevin...will you be staying after your wedding on the 9th? Perhaps our stays will overlap as well!

Maybride...hope things work out this time around.. good luck!
I truly hope so! I am getting frustrated with the lack of pricing info and/or pricing increase from 2009 to 2010. I have contacted several agents and and of course I told them all I am looking for competitive pricing for 2010. Some tell me that the winter prices are not out yet and I have to wait until August when the tour operators come out with their packages and everything. Some tell me due to the swine flu pricing info has been delayed a few months etc etc.

It's crazy because in 2009 the pricing for the Gran Porto Real was around $1300-$1500 for the run of the house and for the Royal $1700-$2000 for the Junior Suite. If you look now and try to get prices for 2010 they are asking for $2100 for the Gran Porto Real and $2300 for the Royal.

As much it is a dream wedding and it should be about my fiancee and I, etc, I still want a good deal for my guests. I can't expect them to pay too much especially when last years prices were significantly lower.

Loanmao or any other winter 2K10 brides, what pricing are you getting right now?

hey there!

I am getting married at The Royal on April 23, 2010 and I am getting roughly the same prices as you for both the Royal & Gran Porto. What is frustrating is most my guests will stay at the Gran Porto since its a bit cheaper than the Royal, but the prices are so high right now for even the Gran Porto! i'm wondering if they should wait to purchase their rooms maybe sometime in the fall, if prices will drop? Do you think they could drop or go even higher? You would think of the swine flu or the economy, they would post better rates than this!

Thanks,

Adriana

My pricing was not even out yet for June 2010 the last time I looked and my TA says it won't be till August anyways. We are going to see what the pricing is when it comes out but I am assuming it will be high and we will probably wait and really start "watching" all the competitors for deals at that point and book when we feel we got one. Too bad we couldn't get a deal like they advertised this month! The Royal website had $100 a night rooms unitl June 14 - it was insane!

What else pisses me off is the wedding package prices! When they recently redid the packages in April The Luxury package was $2100 and was perfect since they now included the private reception! But now they have bumped that package up to $2900 in a matter of weeks! WTF!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
