I ordered my dream dress but was lucky enough to be able to cancel it and got a different one. I wanted to be on the safe side....and I am glad I did because my jeans are already getting tight!

My new dress doesn't compare to the first, but it's ok...I'd rather have a baby than a dress!

OK... I am 3 months 1 week away!!!!

I feel like i am SO behind!

You know you are in bad shape when your FI looks over your shoulder at your color coded, sub sectioned, date specific TO DO list, and innocently says.... how come only 2 things are highlighted in blue saying "DONE" beside them. Have you really only done 2 things on your list?

So..... here is the short version....in no particular order..... TO DO:

~ Buy groom gift

~ Buy BM gifts

~ Buy GM gifts

~ Find florist. Order flowers

~ Select 3 songs for videographer

~ Get marriage license

~ Book legal ceremony in Canada(we are getting hitched first here)

~ Dress fitting 1 + 2 + maybe 3

~ Find and order guys suits

~ Find and buy FI ring

~ Buy Oot bags

~ order/buy oot bag items

~ assemble oot bags

~ DIY monogramed chapstick

~ DIY sticker for bag, and labels

~ Order fans, buy ribbon, DIY tags, assemble fans.

~ Find and buy wedding day shoes + lingerie

~ Buy candy bags from Michaels, buy candy, make labels, assemble bags.

~ Order BM and bride parasols

~ find and order better wedding arch than resort provides

~ Buy 'guestbook/photo album

Anyone else this far behind? smile105.gif

hm... that is a pretty long list. but some of those things you can knock out pretty easily. like... order the fans, parasols and oot bags because you have to wait for them to ship. also, you might want to get your dress fitted pretty soon!

^^ That's true. And now I don't feel as bad because I have basically all of those things to do. I still have to get J a ring!!! We're supposed to go to Punta Cana next month to finalize the contract with the WC and discuss how we want things decorated before we fly down officially. We'll already be married here legally so we'll just be doing the 'symbolic' ceremony there. :) Yipee! The groomsmen still need to order their suits and I'm glad to say that most of the stuff I need done, I can do at the resort (cake, band, flowers, etc). Whew!

AHH! Exactly 3 months and 1 week! I am getting really really excited!

Yup, but that was done quite a while ago (I got engaged in Dec 2006!) I've just sat around the past few months, lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
