Welcome! It is my first day here too!

I saw at least 2 weddings a day at the Riu Palace when i was there last year, thats why i chose to get married in Cabo! We are getting married at the Riu Santa Fe, the resort next to the Palace, as is it much more affordable for our guests. The Dreams is supposed to be beautiful, but keep in mind, with the Riu properties, 85 percent of your guests have to be staying at the resort! i am not sure about the Dreams...

(The Dreams is gorgeous though.... we are having our honeymoon there!)

I am booked for The Riu Santa Fe for the 8th of July 08!! smile123.gif

Welcome to the forum! I'm getting married at Dreams too April 2009. I'm not sure about the time limit for the reception, but I do know that if your reception is outside on one of the patio's the music has to be off by 10:30pm. You can have the reception inside too though, and go for longer. You should email the wc and just ask her to clarify. Happy planning! Let me know if there's any way I can help.

Welcome! I am a newbie too! My wedding is going to be at Dreams but I have never seen it in person. I was at a friends wedding at the RIU three years ago and it was pretty nice. I don't think you could go wrong with either of them. The Gazebo at Dreams is awesome but then again the setup of RIU is cool where you have a U shape hotel with matching pools so if you don't want to see your groom the day of the wedding, the girls can go to one side and the guys can stay on the other side and avoid each other while basking in the sun and relaxing. For some reason, I have a feeling that there are more kids at RIU, but don't quote me on that. Both resorts are beautiful....Tough decision....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
