Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Thanks sheila2011 & richarsd ! I was hoping maybe I can get away with one pass...but hopefully the sunset pictures will be worth it!    We just booked with HDC - really excited based on all the good reviews on this site.

Has Carolina confirmed with any of you when the reception usually starts?

Thanks!

When do you actually leave and how long are you going for?

Thanks for the reply richarsd. For us it is going to come down to the price as well. We think will be having 30+ people as well, mostly in the 25-35 age range. A lively group for sure. The other resorts we were looking at in PC were Majestic Colonial and Gran Bahia. We are only looking at the bigger resorts that have different rooms at different price points. This site has been amazing for information! It is definitely helping me narrow it down.

And for all of my guests departure cities, that was really the only resort in Punta Cana in April that met that criteria. Also, they have a good reputation for beautiful weddings and they also are known as kind of a "fun" resort...I have a lively bunch of 40 people coming and they are NOT the sit around and be relaxed/quiet for 7 straight days type of people.

What other resorts are you considering?

Thanks guys! I am excited too! We leave on Thursday (4 more days!), and will be staying for 2 weeks. I am so happy to get out of here, there's a snowstorm today and next week is the cold snap. January in Edmonton sucks!

I will try to get the cake flavours for you jerzshortstuffs!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Thanks! I bet these next few days can't come soon enough! It is snowing here as well and I can't wait to get out of this cold weather! Although I chose April to get married, which by then it will probably be warm here hehe! Nonetheless, I can't wait to be on the beach with a tropical drink in hand just relaxing  cheers.gif! Which section are you staying in?

We are staying in the Bavaro side with all of our guests. And we're planning to stay there for the second week too! And after spending two hours shoveling snow off our driveway and sidewalks, I cannot wait for the beach and drink in hand! shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
