How much did your hair and makeup cost?

Recommended Posts

This is what I was quoted from the salon:

Hair style $ 800 pesos

Bridal hair style with trial included $ 1500 pesos

Make up $ 1000 pesos

If you do makeup and hair style you will receive 20% discount

So hair (not including tax/tip) is $61 for bridesmaids.  Bridal hair with trial is $114, makeup is $76.  Together with discount is (20% off 2491): $190.

So 3 bridesmaids hair ($183) plus bridal hair/makeup ($190) plus tip/taxes will be probably like 500.  I think I'm going to ask the girls if they want to do a mani/pedi instead.  Several of my future in laws who are supposedly coming are hair dressers, so I can hopefully convince them to do bridal party hair...I'll probably get mine done still, if only to speed it up for the aunts lol.  I will probably not get my makeup done - I really want to, but will probably be able to do just as good a job myself lol.  I know I want a mani/pedi, and probably hair, so I can probably do makeup myself :)  We'll see!

I would def do the trial, that way you know what you are going to get. Mine is included in the package, but I want to make sure its right before the big day =0)

I am using an outside vendor.... Styling Trio... They are a bit pricey at 375, but totally worth it in my opinion if you can swing the $$ amount.... I am a little bummed that I can't have them come to me (darn outside vendor fee) but luckily their studio is less than a 1/2 block away from my resort!!!

Here is our pricing:

For the Bride

·      Bridal Package w/ Trial (includes Hair Styling, Airbrush Makeup & Lashes): $475 USD (Makeup with Adrian $550 USD)

·      Wedding Day ONLY: (includes services listed above minus the trial): $300 USD (Makeup with Adrian $375 USD)

For the Bridal Party and Family

·      Bridal Party, Grandma Sue & The "Rest of the Familia" Package:  $160 USD  per person (includes Hair, Airbrush Makeup & Lashes)

·      Only Hair or Only Makeup  $90 USD

Please note that these prices do not include any resort “vendor entrance fee”.  This charge if any, should be settled between the hotel and the client directly.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
