  1. I am having my wedding in Punta Cana and I really want to Live Stream the wedding. Our coordinator said they have wi-fi so she is sure it is possible. Has anyone ever done this or plan on doing this? Id love any and all information and thoughts! Thanks
  2. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Hey there! Its been a while. I am totally still using Kukua. We are about 6 months out which is crazy! Bego is still amazing! How are you coming with your plans? For all previous Kukua Brides I have a question!!! What cake flavor did you choose? How did it turn out? I am going to do a tasting here in NC just to get a feel for different combos we like but I am scared the flavors will be different in DR. Did you give the DJ an entire playlist? When you met with Bego a few days before did she have the entire place set up to show you the decor? Thanks!
  3. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Hey Hun! It is going good. I finally picked my dress and ordered it. We have sent invites out and so far have no "no" rsvps.I cant believe we are about 8-9 months out! Now I am trying to get my decor all pictured in mind. Its so hard for me to just visualize what I want it to look like and express it in a document. How is your planning going??
  4. @@ChristinaG928 @@alwalters625 We are flying out of North Carolina. I think southwest will open up their flights in September so maybe I should at least wait until then and see what the rates are. Thanks ladies!
  5. Our wedding is next May. Flights just recently started becoming available. Right now they are about 530-600. Is this the average or do you think we should wait a couple of months and maybe get it later this year? I am a little anxious about it. I don't want to wait too long and they go up but I also don't want to purchase now if they will more than likely go down. Thoughts?
  6. @@cindy2013 I would love to see pics too! Anything you would have done differently? Or anything you wish you would have known?
  7. @@trbutler OMG Yours turned out AMAZING!!!!!! And $50 for 50, you can't beat that. Does that include the envelopes you purchased and the starfish charm? Love love love
  8. @@trbutler No! What is the posting called that you posted them under? I don't mind a little DIY! @@girlinthecity97 Thanks girl! I am going to check out some of those sites. I don't mind a little DIY. I am thinking of adding a ribbon bow with a little gem to jazz whichever ones I get up.
  9. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 I can give u the info for the 2 main freelance MUA and Hairstylist out there. I was going to book them as a back up! If you haven't already, join the Kukua Beach Club Brides facebook page
  10. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 I picked HDC Photo for my photo and video. I will be getting 6 hours of each for $2000. Compared to other prices ive seen...you can't beat that. I love their photo style! One of my guests gf is a bridal make up artists, so I will be using her services for make up. And my hair dresser is also a guest and I will be using her for that. Yes do your research early. That will make it enjoyable as oppose to stressful
  11. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Its going good. I had foot surgery so I have been off work the past 2 weeks which has given me a lot of time to look at wedding stuff!!! I have pretty much paid all my deposits (Kukua, make up, photo/video) so now I just have to make decor selections, get invitations, decide on menu and dress. All the fun stuff! lol Its so hard to do favor type stuff until you know your exact # of guests
  12. @@astaats83 Have you decided what you are doing for your menu selections yet? Bego told me the most popular choice is to serve half sizes of 2 starters/2 entrees etc. That way your guests get a chance to taste both choices and you don't have to worry about them making a dinner selection on your rsvp. Also, have you started sending her design pics? I don't know if its too early since our weddings are next May? I am thinking about just compiling them in the selection document she sent with the contract.
  13. I am on the hunt for affordable but nice invites. Hoping you guys know of some websites I am unaware of! I have to send from 80-100 and I hate the thought of spending over 200 on invitations!!!!
  14. I am budgeting for 80 people to be on the high end. Id rather be OVER than under. I am budgeting about 17k for everything including open bar, cocktail hour, 6 hrs of photo and video. I am pretty sure 80 people wont be attending, so we should be way over which will be GREAT!!!!
  15. @@MrandMrsBonitto2016 Well, I saw pics of a Kukua reception...and OMG I loved the decoration. It looked like how I would decorate if I had my reception back at home. A lot of the resort decorations are nice...but they are somewhat just basic. So that is really what sold me. Another thing that sold me was that you can rent it out for $1000...and that way no one is in the background of any of your pics for your ceremony. So thats why I chose to do both there. Let me know if you have any other questions. Bego is so wonderful and great about responding. And as far as decorating goes...its not cookie cutter at all..she literally wants me to email her pictures of what I like so she can make it happen. Seems much more personal.
  16. We are staying at Now Larimar for our honeymoon stay. We first choose to just get the regular Deluxe Ocean View Suite. But now I have seen pictures of the Preferred Club Front Ocean View Master Suite and it sounds too good to be true! Has anyone stayed in this suite? Is it worth it for 4 honeymoon days? It is pretty pricey. I am also considering the Preferred Club Deluxe Ocean View Suite. Any insight will help!!!!
  17. We have decided to go with HDC photo as well for our photography and video! Reading this just made me extra sure that we made the right decision! Their prices were pretty fair to me!
  18. @@colivia I am getting married at Kukua Beach Club too! Next may 2015. We are staying at the Majestic Elegance and having our ceremony and reception at Kukua. We will then be going to Now Larimar for our honeymoon stay!!! How has your planning been going with Bego? Have you already started her sending her your decoration ideas?
  19. Happy Happy Planning Ladies! It's such an exciting time. I pretty much have everything booked, deposits paid, so now all I have to do is decide on decor and dresses and save for the final payments. We are getting married next May and our TA said flights will become available about 11 months out but get a little cheaper around 10 months out. I want to have my rooms (wedding resort and honeymoon resort) paid off by the time flights are available. Enjoy!
  20. I was leaning towards Azul Sensatori when I was going to do Mexico. We switched to DR. I started my research and planning Dec/Jan of this year and my wedding isnt until May 2015. I think the earlier the better. Do your research and know what you want. That will take stress off of you later when it is closer to the date. Stuff books up faster than we think!
  21. I recommend getting a travel agent if you havent already that specializes in DW. That was very helpful for me when deciding on my resort. I still researched my own and pretty much talked to about 3 different travel agents for their suggestions on the ones I found. They gave great suggestions as well but it was obvious that they favor the resorts they work closely with. Don't feel required to go with the ones they suggest. I invited my hair dresser and my friends gf is a Bridal make up artists so I have contracted with them for those services. That made that easy. I am getting married in the DR but there are tons of Bride facebook groups for different resorts and the vendors that they work with post on there for advertisement. Look into that too! You can see their work.

I used wedding wire and it was great. I actually favor wedding wire over the Knot nowadays. It was FREE and super easy to navigate. here it is www.weddingwire.com/kevinandlatasha Hope this helps!
  23. This is my biggest question right now too! I sent save the dates out in March 2014 for my wedding in May 2015. When putting out feelers just to see how many people might come, our guest really loved the idea of knowing well in advance and having a lot of time for a payment plan with the travel agent. Most people already consider our save the date their invitation, but I still want to do a formal invite as well. I am leaning towards sending the formal invite in August, and having the deadline be October. That way I will know well in advance, how many people I need to be preparing for (OOT bags and favors), and those that needed a reminder will still have plenty of time to get on board and get their trip paid. What do you guys think?
  24. I was thinking about it. I planned on doing the Instagram sign where you pick a hashtag that everyone posts to. I know wifi may not be great out there so I am not sure what we are going to do yet. I really want a way to get all the pictures in the same place.
