@@ccphu - When I go in a few weeks for our wedding, I'll let you know about how many string lights you need and stuff too. My TA also is covering my wedding make-up, hair and rehearsal make-up and hair. She also got me upgraded from a regular room to a roof top one bedroom suite. And she also helped me convince them to waive the sky deck fee. Oh and she also got me a new WC who has rocked! She's not with Karisma. She's with Lomas and the hotel so she's been so great. I hear back from her in a few hours and she updates my detail sheet and sends it to me every time she makes a change. She's going to be at our meeting at the hotel too, which is nice. So my TA has rocked.
I'll let you know about the lights for sure!

@@palmtree99 I got them on Etsy. The shop is called theHELLOtote. They're called Recovery Kit Mini Emergency Bags. They're really cute!

@@KJS3323 Thanks! I got the clear plastic bags at Michael's. They're by a brand call Celebrate It and they were 6.75"x9.75". You can buy them online too. Then for the toppers, I just designed them, printed them and used a paper cutter to cut them. I'm happy to send you the template if you want it.
I attached the templates I used for the toppers. You can remove the logo and do whatever you want to them, but at least it gives you an idea of how I did them.

Thanks everyone!!
@@acw271011 Thanks!! I got the bags from Ebay, but I saw them on another website too. If you want me to try to find it, let me know. I'm happy to! I think they were about $3/bag.
@@AyeWatSoon I got the bug spray at this site - http://www.anypromo.com/personal-care/sanitizer/spray-pen-25-oz-hand-sanitizer-p680363. I paid $180 total for 150 of them, which included my logo design on them, shipping, etc.
@@kjb123 I am actually taking everything down there. Nightmare. I know. I have divided everything up and I have two other people taking some since I can't take it all with me. I checked with my travel agent and my wedding coordinator and they said I shouldn't have a problem getting it all in, especially since it's for a wedding. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed.

I finally finished by welcome bags! Yay! Thank you to so many girls who posted theirs and I got ideas from. This site is the best! If anyone wants any info or templates, let me know and I'm happy to send it to you.
Girls are getting pink and white tote bags and the guys are getting yellow and white. If a girl is bringing her husband, they're just getting a pink one. If a guy is bringing his wife, they're just getting a yellow one. You get the idea.
I attached a welcome tag to everyone's bag which I had made from Etsy.Inside the bag, I put a petal fold with inserts inside. They included a Welcome Letter, Things to do in Mexico, Wedding Weekend Itinerary, Groomsmen Itinerary, if applicable, Bridesmaid itinerary, if applicable and a Social Media card with our hashtag. Also inside the bag, I did three separate bags with stuff in them.I did a Sand, Sun and Fun bag and I put "For Better or For Worse..." at the top of it. We did a logo so I put that on there as well. The bag included Bug Spray (the things that look like pens), playing cards, aloe vera, sunscreen, crayons for our coloring book which you'll see later, and chapstick with SPF.I did a So Fresh and So Clean bag and I put "In Good Times and Bad..." at the top of it. The bag included a lint roller, tic tacs, tissues, hand sanitizer, shout wipes and gum.Last bag was a Wedding Weekend Survival Kit. I put "In Sickness and In Health.." at the top of it. It included a recovery kit sack, which had advil, Tylenol, pepto, alka seltzer and blowfish (a hangover cure my fiancé swears by). It also had a First Aid kit with bandaids, etc. and it had a Spanish to Go mini book which I found online. Also inside the tote bag are a Crossword Puzzle about us, a Map of the resort which I put where all the events are, a key card holder, a koozie and a coloring book. Then I'm getting chips in Playa and putting them in there too, even though the hotel is all inclusive.
Hope that helps someone!
Sorry some of those are upside down or sideways. I'm not very good with this site. Haha!

@@ccphu Yes, the rate we're getting for the basic regular room, garden view is $489.00 for 3 nights, all inclusive. Which is a pretty good deal if you ask me. I did have a block of 60 rooms and we ended up booking 56 out of those, so I think that helped with the rate. I'd definitely try to negotiate it if I were you. We also found out a LOT of people got 1-BR suites, so make sure you have plenty of those.
@@ccphu Katy is the girl I'm using to rent almost all of my decorations from. Literally, I'm renting runners, chair sashes, lights, paper bags for around the pool with candles, jars, chargers, etc. Her rates are really good and she's been so nice. It's helpful because she's been a bride down there and knows the outrageous fees they charge, so she just wants brides to not have to pay those outlandish costs. Her FB page is Love & Lace Décor. I know she's on this site too. I'll see if I can find that post.
@ccphu - her username on here is MrsHK
@@sbjzmex - for our cocktail hour, I have the 15 high cocktail tables and then I'm also doing a few rounds of 8 tables so some people can sit down if they need to. The hotel didn't charge me extra for those.
I also forgot to mention that I'm getting married on November 1 and I leave in 2 weeks! Yikes! When I get back, I'll give y'all a full review of the wedding and will gladly send you all pictures. My photographer is giving me a flash drive the night of the wedding with all of my pics. So I'll be around to help you all out. I know a lot of brides have gotten married and then disappeared from this site so I never saw their reviews. I promise I won't do that!
@@ccphu Sorry, I keep reading more messages so I wanted to add another comment. One thing I'm doing to save on cost is I'm doing half of my tables with floral centerpieces from Lomas, and the other half I'm doing lanterns and bottles. I'm getting the lanterns and bottles from Katy - Love & Lace Décor. She's also doing my welcome cocktail party, rehearsal dinner and post-ceremony cocktail party decorations, which has really cut down on the cost. I'm only doing 2 sheers so I can save money on those.
To contact Katy, you can submit an email at this website.. loveandrum.com/marry-me-katy-mikee-in-Tulum/

Has anyone brought matches or Advil, Tylenol to Mexico? I'm assuming matches are a no-no, but Tylenol?

Hi ladies! My travel agent went to the resort recently so I wanted to share her photos with you all. There are a lot and they're really helpful! http://pbdw.smugmug.com/Azul-Fives-Resort-Riviera-Maya/i-JXFVspz
@@Smellsey I had a few who couldn't pay the deposit, but my travel agent managed to get them to hold the room for them. Maybe try that?

I've got a sketch of the garden area along with dimensions and where exactly the trees are. It's a JPEG file and i don't think i'm qualified yet to post pics to this forum. Let me know if you want it and i can email it to you.
Hi!! I'm so sorry to ask you again, but would you mind please emailing me the garden info you have? My wedding is in 3 weeks and it would be so helpful. khmciver@@gmail.com. Thank you so so much!

I am bringing a LOT of my decorations and my string lights. They're charging me $500 for the decorating and $300 for putting the lights up. Ridiculous. It's like highway robbery.

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it!
We are doing a totally separate honeymoon and going to the Maldives. However, I have three friends who are staying with their husbands and going to other resorts for the week. There is one that is supposed to be awesome if you want me to find the name out.
I only have 25 days until I leave for Mexico and 29 days until the big day!!! Eek!!! So much to do!!

Do any of you happen to know the dimensions of the round tables for the reception and the long table for the guest signing book table?

Hi everyone! I have 35 recovery kit bags left over from my welcome bags which I'm not using. If anyone wants them, let me know and I'll mail them to you. I just figured it would be better to give them to someone rather than throw them away. I posted a picture of them. I used them for advil, Tylenol, alka seltzer, blowfish and pepto bismol. You can email me at khmciver@@gmail.com if you want them. Thanks!

I just set this up with my WC and she was firm on the fact that it would cost me $10pp over 50 people and that I could not modify or upgrade the event in anyway. You also got them to waive the Sky Wedding Fee too because of the amount of people you are having?
That's so odd because they're not charging me for the extra guests for the welcome cocktail party. For the cocktail party after the ceremony and before the reception, I'm paying $8/per person, but not paying the sky deck fee, which is where I'm having the cocktail party. It's probably because I have such a large group coming so they know they're making their money in other ways.

I just ordered them through Lomas because I don't want to have to bring down another thing. I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed with how much stuff I'm bringing down there. I'm doing 40 paper lanterns for a whopping $1500. Ridiculous, but my WC says is really pretty and plenty of light.

Where is he henwah? Is it a site or on eBay?
I found it on Amazon actually. Not sure what it is exactly.

I'm happy to email you my documents if you want to give me your email address. For the coil bracelets, I bought 12 Coil Bracelet Keychains sold by HenWah for $3.66. I also bought Advantus Proximity Badge Holder Cards for $8.68/50 pack.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

@@Nanlvsrav The free GIWC Welcome Cocktail Reception is a 2-hour cocktail event for up to 50 people (additional $10pp over 50). It includes a signature cocktail, beer, wine and soda and gourmet bites. I think they select the location and food choices for you and unfortunately it cannot be upgraded or modified.
They're not making me pay $10 per person and I'm having 100. They also let me choose the location so you may want to talk to your WC or TA again about that.

It's probably only because my TA has had numerous weddings down there and she goes to them all. She knows everyone there really well. She is going Wednesday-Sunday my wedding week to help me with stuff. And to be my point of contact in case my guests need anything. So that will help me a lot!!
