  1. Hey CGYgirl, Yes this resort is great, I was actually there with a group of friends in 2011. You will find that with a lot of resorts in this area, will charge you anywhere from $200-$600 to bring in an outside vendor for your wedding, bringing in an outside vendor is different from getting a day pass. Some resorts will charge you for both the vendor fee as well as the day pass! The reason they charge you to bring in an outside vendor is because they would like you to use their services at the resort (photographer, videographer, DJ etc) just like any other hotels here in Canada or the US, they would like to keep the revenue in house. If you are traveling during slow season, if the resort is not that busy, one side (either the Sunset or Princess) will be like its almost shut down, so not all the restuarnts will be open on that side. But still if one side is closed it's still a very large resort, but no worries there are shuttles to transport you from the front of the resort to the back. The Grand Riviera Princess/Sunset has a great outdoor "Chill" area in which I believe its $15USD per day to use, but its a roped off section on the beach with day beds and a bar, you can book dinners on the beach there for as well, for about $120USD on top of your all inclusive. Hope this helps, wish all you awesome ladies the best of luck =) -Jill Tran
  2. I say definitely register! There are travel agencies out there who have a wedding registry, so if you haven't booked your travel plans yet, you could use that towards your upcoming wedding, or vacation/honeymoon! Most of us already have all the house wares and towels and toasters and what not, and like most of you said, "money prefered" is kind of akward....but a wedding travel registry is great!
  3. Congrats Nicolew412! The Palace Resorts is an excellent choice to have your wedding at. The wedding packages designed by Colin Cowie are so pretty!! I love the Pearl Shimmer theme, it's very romantic and elegant. But I think my absolute favoite has to be the Lavender Luxe! I posted all the themes: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/g/a/139354/palace-resorts-wedding-themes/ Pearl Shimmer Lavender Luxe Hope this helps, happy planning! =) -Jill

  6. WOW These look so great! I love DIY invitations! They really do look like legit boarding passes btw!
  7. If all your guests are close friends and family, they won't be bored. It would actually be more fun with a smaller group, especially if they all already know each other. If you want to do the boquet toss, just do it! Better then regretting it later on. Where were you planning on having your reception?

  9. @Louis - If you can't find a Sikh Priest on the island of Oahu I would suggest maybe flying one in from one of the other smaller islands? I found in my research : Maui Dharma Center (808) 579-8076 9 Hikina Pl,Paia,HI96779 Good luck! -Jill Tran
  10. @NCraft - The Paradise Cove is actually a really good idea for a smaller wedding crowd. I was there Sept of 2012 and there was 2 wedding groups! The Paradise Cove grounds are so beautiful, and it is nice because before the show and food starts, there are games and smaller shows that happen to ramp up to the big fire dancing show. The island it self is gorgeous. Good luck and happy planning =) -Jill
  11. @Futuremrswarner - congrats on the wedding! The GBP property is awesome I really love it there, and everyone is very nice, great service. Just make sure you check with your onsite Wedding Coordinator to see how much they will charge you to bring in an outside vendor, last time I checked it was around $300USD just to bring them into the resort! Cheers and good luck =) -Jill
