  1. Thank you! And I'm happy to help as much as I can! The envelopes were just #10 envelopes. The sleeves were just the Pearlescent Azalea paper in the 8.5 x 11 size and I folded/cut them to make them sleeves. I played around with them a lot until I got the scoring lines where I wanted them, but since you can't print on the pearlescent paper, I can't really give you a template for it because I didn't use one. Good luck! Let me know you have any more questions!
  2. I think what is going to help me be comfortable in front of the camera is that I keep going back through the photos on my photographer's website. They have before and after photos that show ladies of ALL sizes looking absolutely gorgeous and I remember that everyone has problem areas. My photographers are women, which was an absolute must for me, and I think that helps to. In the end, I am thinking that the first few minutes might be uncomfortable, then you will probably relax and just have fun with it. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to feel like the goddess that your fiance already thinks you are! Enjoy it!
  3. Yes, I had to enter them all into separate text boxes, then I rotated them. Afterwards I grouped them together. Hope this helps!
  4. Thanks! They are actually a font I downloaded from dafont.com. It is Tropicana BV. And yes, I did just insert them one by one and then rotated them different ways.
  5. Sure thing! It is Sottero Midgely JSM1103. Happy shopping!!!
  6. Thank you so much! I actually saw it at my bridal shop when another woman who bought the dress was doing her final fitting. I knew I just had to try it on! It's a Sottero Midgely and it is still up on their website, but it seems that some women are having trouble finding it in their local shops. Maybe I just got lucky it was in mine.
  7. Yay!!! How goes the planning so far?!
  8. I just happened to be in Walgreens today and found these mugs for sale for $5.99. I was so excited that I went to four other Walgreens in the area and bought them all out! In total I got 35 of them. So excited, since my main concern was price and that they were insulated so that they would keep the frozen drinks frozen down on the beach!!! Kind of sad that I ended up with some that weren't personalized. I just couldn't meet the minimums on most sites and I knew that I wanted two different colors for men and women so I couldn't get everything on discountmugs.com. I might still try to figure out a way to personalize them... Just thought I would pass the word along!!
  9. The paper for the actual boarding passes was the text weight paper (81lb) while the sleeve was the metallic cardstock (105lb). I had no problem printing out the boarding passes on my printer, but I could not print on the cardstock for the sleeves without jamming my printer.
  10. Kazala, thank you so much! Have you tried using the locator on the Sottero Midgley website to see if maybe there were some stores that sell them that you might not have known about. Can you at least order the dress even if they don't have a sample? Also, I see a lot of them for sale by brides on the forums and such and trust me, if I could have found one online in my size I totally would have bought it for half price. The sample size was too small for me in the store so to get an idea of how it would fit me I just tried on a different S&M that was a similar shape and it really did help me picture it. I really hope you get the dress you want!!!
  11. Thank you so much! You should definitely get the starfish charms from Oriental Trading. I loved them! And yes I did end up cutting everything by hand. I started using a cutter for the straight lines and my corner punch for them, but they always seemed to be just a little off. So I just bit the bullet and sat down Friday and Saturday night and cut them all by hand while I was watching tv. I did however use my corner punch for the sleeves. That worked perfectly for that! And if you use the same type of paper (heavy weight) make sure to score it before you fold!
  12. Hi Ladies, So I have to say I am extremely happy with how my STD's turned out. I could not have done ANY of this without ideas and tips from some pretty fantastic ladies on this forum! Much of this came from JoanneIreland's thread, but I have to say I took ideas from many different posts. The paper and envelopes came from Paperandmore.com (Pearlescent Azalea for the sleeves and envelopes and Pearlescent White for the Boarding Passes). The template for the passes came from Aylee Bits. The starfish charms on the sleeve came from Oriental Trading Company. The brads, flowers and the gems I attached to them, and the raffia ribbon came from Joann's (love that they always send me coupons!!). The wraparound address labels I made myself and printed onto full page sticker paper that I got from Kmart. All in all it was a great experience, but it took FOREVER!!! Between the actual designing, to cutting, clipping, glueing, putting together... it was definitely a huge undertaking. Just keep that in mind when you go to do this. It takes some planning ahead. Hope you all like them as much as I do!!!
  13. This isn't a link to her original post, but I did find another one that describes what you do and the principle is pretty much the same as what it looks like she did for those. http://www.pashweddings.com/weddingforums/showthread.php?t=7016
  14. I agree. People looked at me like I was crazy when I showed them my ring. They even have the nerve to ask me, "is that what you wanted?" like I would be upset with the ring I got! I think yours is GORGEOUS!!! I love the pink color!
  15. People just get caught up in what they are doing. I have some that are even just keeping the money in their savings (they just saved their tax returns for the trip) and they want to leave it in the account so that it can make money for them throughout this year. I can at least respect that. It is very frustrating though! Makes it hard to plan OOT bags and such when you really have no clue who is going.
  16. Thanks! And so far I have used #4 for my wrap around address labels and they look great! So excited!!!
  17. Honestly all I did was take some clipart and import it into Powerpoint 2007 (this is important, because the newer version will not let you change the color of clipart!), I recolored it to make it my color, then I just played around with font for our names and used word art for the surrounding text. Many people will also use Photoshop to make these, I am just more familiar with Powerpoint. Photoshop does allow you do to do much more though. It just depends on what you are comfortable with. Let me know if you would like some help! I would be happy to help in any way that I can!
  18. I am getting that done for my FI's wedding present as well! I can't wait!!!
  19. I am thinking that you are right about that. I might just go with ChocoTaco7568's idea and use two!
  20. Absolutely beautiful. I love the shape of it! And of course you look gorgeous in it!!!
  21. I was planning on using the one from the knot but I am hearing horror stories about RSVPs being messed up. Does anyone have one from another site that offers online RSVP's that they have liked?
  22. Welcome to the forum and Happy Planning!!!
