My confession is that my MOH can't come to the Bridal Fair this January because it's her FI's birthday "weekend." I totally understand, but the thing is, I can not stand her FI. He is rude, inconsiderate, and just plain gross. I have tried to be nice to the guy, and when I see him, I say hello, she had to tell him to say Hi back. Really!!??? I could go on and on about him. Am I a bad person to not like the guy she loves?

Wow, that is not what I had expected to be asking guests to pay either. I was thinking the most to be $1500.00 flight and hotel. I love West jet, but have they also looked into Sunquest, or Air Transat? That's what our TA will be looking into, and she said that also Air Canada will charge the deposit to save seats for your guests for only 30 days. Then you have to get out your STD's and 30 days is just not enough time. The other one's I mentioned give you 60 days for guests to put their deposits down. Something to think about. Hopefully I do not come across these kind of prices when we start looking. I would ask more questions of your TA and see what else she can find. Also, maybe shop around, and see what a few others come out to. I found one TA, and she tried to talk me out of the hotels we wanted, and to choose her hotels, also to maybe question the wedding site we have chosen. I think she gets some serious kickbacks. We have since gone with someone else.

Are you by chance using a travel agent for these quotes?? November is supposed to be the cheapest time to go, that's what we have chosen. I have not looked into pricing yet, as our wedding is in November 2013. I did look on the travel sites, and they are outrageous. If you find a TA, they have connections, and can get you free rooms and stuff, and they do all the work. ( which is fine by me) I am in Vancouver also, and we are using Blue Petal Weddings if that helps at all. Their pricing is is totally worth it to us.

Hi Ladies, We are doing the welcome dinner, and wedding day activities. We are taking our guests to a private beach by boat for the day of, so it's kinda out of the question to do another boat excursion for us. We don't want to make our guests do too much on their vacation, but we were thinking of having a sand castle building contest one of the days before or after the wedding and have prizes for the best castle, the funniest castle, etc.

Hey CassidyKristen, Its amazing there isn't it?! I just fell in love from the moment I stepped off the boat! I have been emailing back and forth with the WC at Las Caletas. She is great answering all my questions. We have not booked with her yet, as I have been looking at hiring a wedding planner. We have found someone amazing at Blue Petal weddings, who is going to take care of all the travel for us. As for the resorts, we have looked at a few that are new builds in PV called Now Amber, and Secrets PV. One is family and the other is adults only, but both owned by AM Resorts, so she is going to look into us staying at the adults only and being able to use the sister resort as well Also, My wedding planner has suggested Dreams PV which is kind of on its own private beach, so there will be no beach vendors. I have been reading around and all the reviews for Dreams are really good. So Im still deciding Hopefully we can make a site visit next year and check out the resorts to see which one is best. Which wedding package are you looking into at Caletas?

I absolutely LOVE TTD photos! I can not get enough. I have tossed around the idea of getting a second ( cheaper) dress to do this, but it will all come down to budget in the end. Here's Hoping~

Thanks for all the great ideas! I never thought to put a deck of cards in mine, but since they were such a hit, i will definitely be putting in ours. Does anyone know where to get maps of Puerto Vallarta? Or do you just make your own? I've searched like crazy online, but can't find anything....

I plan on bringing most of my stuff down there with me, and anything extra, I will buy while Im there. I have heard that costs of shipping is outrageous, but have not looked into myself. Most resorts only allow you to ship it down a few weeks before the wedding. The possibility of it not making it there is too risky for me.
