Thanks for the ideas on the OOT bags ladies. We're getting married at the NOW Jade resort in Puerto Morelos and I want to bring as little with me as possible but I want something sincere in people's rooms when they arrive. So many choices... I was thinking of having luggage tags made and used as favors/place holders at the reception, but again I want people to actually use them later!

I'm having a difficult time deciding which vendor that I want to choose to make my dress so I decided to start this thread for people to post their pics of the inspired and finished product and tell us where you bought from. I know there are threads similar but I can't go through all 300+ pages looking for pics!! I can't wait to see all of the gorgeous dresses...

Hi Adcurlz, There is a pdf of their website that gives a better description of all of the extras. Everyone over 25 people is $48 for the Eternity pkg and $53 for the Divine pkg. It adds up! I have yet to see the benefit of paying more for the Divine pkg so we went with the Eternity. The other thing you will want to consider is that the pricing for 2013 will probably be higher. There is also a charge for extra people for the cocktail hour and for cake. If I find out more I'll let you know.

Looks like you haven't received much help so far! From what I've read, it seems less expensive if you buy the flowers elsewhere but then meet the florist and bring the flowers on the resort yourself. Then you don't have to pay the vendor fee. As far as photographer etc, it seems worth is to bring one in since their photographer doesn't seem that great. I still haven't decided who to hire and it seems like they are all the same and a little too cheesy for me but hopefully I'll find someone soon! As far as the Divine pkg, I think you can mix and match since you are getting the higher price package but several people have liked the food better in the eternity pkg. I didn't see any benefit to the Divine over the Eternity since they are replacing the DJ option for 2012 so I chose the less expensive option. Trying to keep costs down! I don't think the wedding coordinators really start working on your wedding until 2 months or so before hand so it's pretty normal to not get much of a response right now. Annoying, yes, but they have so many weddings to deal with. I've just come to grips with the fact that there are several things that I can't really plan until a 2 months before. I think I am going to take some centerpiece inspiration pics with me and then run to Walmart in Playa del Carmen to get vases etc. I'm trying to be laid back since the location is so beautiful anyway...people won't care too much about the decor! vdfellers-how are you going to transport your decorations? Are you sending anything directly to the resort? I really don't want to pay what they are charging for the extra decor, but I also don't want to bring 17 suitcases!

I need help choosing between these two dresses! I also can't decide which vendor to use since there is a significant amount of lace on both. Babyonline quoted $215, Topspartner is at $365, Jasmine's is at $429, and bigdaydress is at $390 (all include shipping) I'm leaning toward topspartner because of the money back guarantee but I'm am totally on the fence. Babyonline's price looks good Any ideas??! tdmaus-your dress is great! I can't believe they made those custom changes for you!

Hey Ladies. I checked with vipweddingdresses.com and they said they'd be able to make my dress for $380 and I'm still waiting to hear from babyonline. Does anyone know if babyonline provides pic while they are making the dress? It's so hard to decide which company to go with!

Hey Ladies. I had some travel agent craziness this week, but managed to find a new one that agreed to match online offers as well as book everyone in our "group" so we still get the benefits. What a headache! The last question that I have is with airport transfers...do you all know if you still get a complimentary transfer regardless of how you book your stay at the Now Jade? I'm getting mixed info and I want to make sure that everyone has a shuttle to the resort and doesn't have to pay an arm and a leg. Anyone know the answer?? Thanks

Are you ladies doing a welcome bag per room or per person? I'm still trying to decide how much to spend on these and I really don't want to fill them with cute things that people won't use. Also, is everyone doing favors at the reception? Again, I'm trying to think of something that's cute and useful and I'm coming up short.

These are all great ideas! Has anyone found a killer deal on sunscreen? Also, how are you all planning on getting stuff to the resort...mailing ahead, extra luggage??

Welcome! I just booked my wedding for April 2012 and I've been searching for advice and tips also. I think you'll find this site very helpful. We are having our ceremony on the Pergola, cocktail party at the orange lounge, and reception at the bamboo room. I requested the cocktail party at the Blue Bar since everyone says its so close to the pergola but it wasn't available so we went the Orange lounge route. I also wanted a private space with room for dancing and someone suggested the Bamboo room. After looking at pics I finally made a decision! Hope that helps a little

LOVE the spanish phrases book idea! I was thinking about putting the obvious travel size sunscreen and aloe in our welcome bags only because I heard that they run about $25 if you have to buy it there. I'm also thinking about using luggage tags (I found really cute ones on etsy) to use for place settings/favors. That is a really good tip about the cocktail hour and will at least cut down costs a little. I'm also hoping that they don't charge for children as "extra people" over the 25 guests. Let me know if you get any other great bargains or cost saving tips! We're bringing our two little kids along with a nanny so our travel cost alone is a little more than the average. I starting to get excited though!

I found really cute fabric luggage tags on etsy that I am using as place cards/favors. I'm just trying to decide if I should buy them or attempt making them myself...will probably just buy them I've seen personalized tequilla bottles that were cool, but who really takes them home and keeps them??

Hey Ladies! We're getting married on April 6th and besides picking the resort and putting a deposit down, I'm just getting started with the planning. I'm trying to get a realistic budget and wanted to know what the rest of you think you'll spend? I think we'll have about 40 people so paying per person after the 25 included with the package will add up, but I have no idea what an average dress costs or invites, welcome bags, etc... Any insight would be greatly appreciated
