Hi Ladies!! I'm a Moon Palace June 2012 bride and slowing working out the details. I wanted to ask the 2011 brides if they used the photographer at Moon Palace or if they have seen any photos they took. I'm on the fence about hiring someone or just using them. Pictures are important to me so I want to make sure we get the best we can. Originally my sister was going to do it but then she didn't feel comfortable taking all of her equipment down there plus I wanted her to be a bridesmaid rather than work at my wedding. Any information would be great!! Thanks!

Oh I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time!!! I would just keep calling back, a couple of times a day if need be. Did you try to call Janina? Maybe she could help? I know that once I called and found out they had "reserved" our date and were waiting on the confirmation from the judge it showed on the website that it was booked. Fingers crossed that things start getting easier for you!!!

Hey Ladies!! Does anyone know about the photography at MP? My sister was originally going shoot the wedding but I would much rather have her be a bridesmaid than have to "work" at my wedding. I was just wondering about them or if would be best to start searching other avenues.

On a different note we did secure our venue for the AHR this weekend. Glad that's done. This week is getting the contract taken care of, get the room block to the TA, and finish up the invites to go out next week. FMIL is speaking with the cake lady and already calling about rentals for the AHR. She overloaded me with wedding details this past weekend. I'm trying very hard to be patient with her as my FI's parents are paying for the AHR, she only had sons and wants to plan this event. However some of her ideas I don't care for, or she's reminding me of "how expensive" things are. Though I did put my foot down and tell her absolutely no carnations for any kind of reception flowers! Feeling pressure and slightly guilty about the whole thing. Anyone else out there dealing with something like this? Other than having my FI as a buffer I really don't know what else to do.

Start calling.....I realize they are busy but it's a little frustrating when you send emails and it's taking a week or longer to hear back. I'm calling Janina this week. She wants the contract back by the 8th however she hasn't answered my email from last week. (We are changing our ceremony from civil to symbolic. It saves about $600 and we don't have to do blood test here. So we have decided to go to the JP the day before we leave and just not tell anyone.) So I asked her if we needed to sign a different contract and no answer. I'll be calling this afternoon.

We actually have a contract in hand for June 9, 2012 for the 5pm slot. I'm trying to get as much done right now before fall. I have 2 kids and they keep us pretty busy during the school year with sports and homework. Thanks for all the help thus far!

Good afternoon MP Brides..... not sure if anyone else is planning on kids being there for your special day but the TA I have been talking to said they are extending the KIDS STAY FREE promo through 2012. The information I received from the resort was different than what she sent but she said they just confirmed it. So there's another savings if you have kids 0-12 that will be joining in on the fun. Tomorrow my FMIL and FI will be going to look at a couple of venues for our AHR. Wish me luck ladies!! Have a wonderful and safe weekend!! Happy 4th to everyone!

Yes....... For a Superior Deluxe Garden View: $179 per person based on double occupancy $322 per night single $172 per night triple occupancy $160 per person for a quad This is a "Early Bird" booking period and we have to secure it by July 15 for these rates. And right before I opened the email from the board I got the rate quote from the resort with our contract. Janina listed the rates with the 10% promotion as....... For a Deluxe Resort View: $179 per double/per night $318 per night/single $167 per night/triple $161 per night/quad So I was able to answer my own question. Ha! Both the TA and the resort listed several room types if any of you are interested just let me know.

Does anyone have rates for June from MP? I got our quote from the TA this week with a rate of $179. I haven't heard from the resort yet so I was just trying to see if they were cheaper or if we just needed to stick with the TA. Thanks in advance!!

Hi Ladies!! I have a 14 year old and 9 year old. FI has no kids and this will be his first marriage. We were friends long before our friendship blossomed into a relationship. My kids have always enjoyed being around him however they both were a little confused when we started dating. There were definitely a lot of issues at first however around Christmas last year they both really started warming back up to him. He's really great with them and while we are still working on them seeing him more as a parental role now versus friend we are definitely making progress. The kids are even looking forward to adding a couple more to the family since he would like a few of his own. I'm very lucky to have such a wonderful man that is willing to love me though I have been previously married and have two kids already AND that he loves those two kids as if they were his own. My advice for the ladies that are taking on the role as stepmom.........be patient they will come around eventually. Remember at some point their short life they have lived was turned completely upside down due to divorce or whatever else caused the parents to part. Just love them the best you can and try to be understanding when they have their moments, especially the with the teens. It will all work out in the end.

Hi Moon Palace Brides 2012.....I'm new to the site and Mr JDH and I have decided that Moon Palace is the place for us. We just sent a request last night for June 9 2012 for 5pm. Hoping we hear from them very soon though as I have been reading through here sounds like several of you have been having a difficult time getting someone to confirm dates and times.
