Congrats on finding a dress RyGuysBride! I almost bought the Adorea as well, it's so beautiful!!! it was a really tough decision but I ended up with an Essence of Australia dress that I absolutely fell in love with the minute I put it on!! I'm so glad I waited until I completely fell in love with a dress, even though it took me forever! For all the girls out there who haven't yet found your dress, don't settle for anything less then what you want, it is out there!!!! I did end up going to Alliance Bridal but I had a really bad experience there, I think it was just the sales girl but she was absolutely horrible! I ended up buying my dress from Bridals by Al-mor in Winchester, they had amazing customer service!

Hey! I actually made an appointment at Alliance for later this week! I've asked around and so many people have said good things I thought I'd try it before I go to a ton of other stores! lol I'm really excited to see others from Ottawa as well. We're going to Punta Cana at the end of April 2012, how about you? I LOVE Maggie dresses! I really hope I'm able to find one that I love. I'm also looking at Sophia Tolli's collection. She used to design for Maggie Sottero so the styles are very similar. I haven't even started looking for bridesmaid dresses yet. My girls are kinda all over Ontario so we're planning a trip for in like Aug-Sept.

Thanks for the referral to Moose Creek Alliance! I made an appointment there this morning so I'll be checking them out this week!! I'm crossing my fingers that I'm able to find something!

Hey RyGuysBride! I actually started in Kingston at Bridal Creations, they had an ok selection and pretty good customer service. I went to a couple others that we ended up passing by that didn't have many dresses, then a couple in Belleville; Dresses and Dreams, which had an ok selection and good customer service, Runway was just ok and one in Rossmore that had a few dresses but nothing really caught my eye. I just can't seem to find anything I really love... I'm planning on checking out Dominique Levesque, Sinders and Bridals by Al-Mor in Winchester. I haven't heard of Alliance Bridal but I'll have to check it out if they have a good selection!! Thanks for the heads up on Sinders, I've heard alot of mixed reviews but they have one of the Maggie Sottero dresses that I can't find anywhere else

All of these dresses are so pretty! I started dress shopping yesterday but even after 5 stores I didn't find "the one"... I really want to have that "this is it" feeling and even though it was just one day, I tried on a ton of dresses and I'm afraid I won't find it .

Wow Natalie those are great rates! I'm assuming they were plus taxes? I just checked the rates for end of April 2012 and you're right it is alot cheaper.. we may need to reconsider our end of March date....

Hi Jasmine, We didn't ask for a rsvp on the save the dates, alot of people just told us/our parents if they thought they could come. If we haven't heard from them we're planning on sending them the invitation, just in case.

We`re posting ours on our website but not putting it in the invitations. Pretty much leaving it to word of mouth and the website. I really don`t want people to feel obligated to give us anything, so we`re going to word in a way that will convey that.... haven`t figured out how yet! lol but we haven`t done our registry yet, and wont for a while so we have time!

Hi beachbum! We're having the same dilemma. We weren't planning on having a registry, but we've had quite a few ppl ask us/our parents if we were going to make one and that it would be helpful... so now I think we're going to register for some small stuff and just have people pass around that their attendance is gift enough but that if they wish to purchase a gift anyway there is a registry and to ship it to our home address as opposed to bringing it with them...

We're doing the same thing as xtenna. We sent out about 75 save the dates and we're getting ppl saying that they'll go and others saying they can't. We're planning on sending invitations to those who have said they will or might go, and then we'll go from there with the RSVPs.

I'm not even at 40 yet? I can't wait to get to 150 to open attachments, it seems so far away... I can't believe some members have 1000's of posts! Wow!!

Great thanks Natalie!! I was hoping for 6 or 8 I'm a little afraid that Carolina isn't the Wedding Coordinator anymore. I emailed her about 3 weeks ago and received a response from Kenia 2 weeks later, emailed Kenia again right after as she hadn't answered half my questions and I haven't heard back yet and it's been over a week! Carolina was so fast to get back to me, I hope she's still there!!!

We've found a pretty good TA, we've talked to a ton from different companies and finally found her... we kept finding that alot just didn't understand what we wanted... one even tried to convince us to switch resorts when we had already picked one lol.

HAHA I totally do the same thing!!! I always catch myself looking at it... especially when the sun/light catches at and it sparkles lol I'm glad I'm not the only one!!

Thanks Torilynnsmith! thats a great tip about tripcentral, I'll definitely check it out! We've got our guests split about evenly between the 3 locations so we're thinking about having Halifax fly out with one provider (Sunwing) and then the Ottawa and Toronto groups fly out with a different provider (Transat Vacations) as they would all leave on the same day this way, and all still qualify for the group discount... not sure if it's going to work though :S. I'll check out Air Canada Vacations as well! This has got to be the most stressful part of the planning so far.. ugh..

Hi to all those other Canadian brides out there!! Oh and Congrats on deciding to do a destination wedding. I know it was quite the decision for us! lol I was just wondering if anyone else has found it difficult to get flights matching up by even a day off from Ottawa/Montreal, Toronto and Halifax?? What did you end up doing?
