Yea we paid to pick our seats... and we had requested with our TA back in September when we fully paid that she request seats together for the group (except my FI and I as we were upgraded).... but apparently there was a mix up... we're working on getting it fixed.. apparently everyone else on the flight has already picked their seats so there are none left... which I dont find acceptable since we requested it in Sept... hopefully it'll be fixed sooner rather than later considering we leave in a week and a half....

We're flying Sunwing as well and were automatically upgraded to their Elite Plus as well. You get priority boarding, more checked baggage weight and two carry ons (plus your dress!) Now my TA is currently arguing with Sunwing because they mixed up the seats on our plane. We have guests flying out of Toronto, Halifax and Ottawa... and on one of the flights they have a 6 year old sitting ALONE away from his mother on the plane both there and back... and Sunwing seems to think that there is nothing they can do.... So I'm not impressed right now considering we leave on the 25th and it's still not sorted out...

We're paying $60/photographer for the day and another $60/photographer for the night. Carolina did tell us that many of their costs are going up effective May 1st, I'm not sure if vendor fees are included in that....

Beachbum - I'm sure everything is going to come together perfectly! Just keep reminding yourself of the sun and relaxation thats waiting for you in just a few days... I can't believe how fast time has flown! We leave 2 weeks tomorrow. So excited and nervous!

Congrats on booking! I had the same concerns as you and wanted to book it ASAP. Carolina told me the same thing when I wanted to reserve the DJ and beach party so far in advance. I pretty much emailed her back and explained that part of the reason we decided on the Grand Palladium was based upon these options and I wanted the guarentee that we could have these. She emailed me back within a few days to confirm! Hope this helps!

We're ordering ours from Studio Suits (http://www.studiosuits.com/) and they have reviews on here as well (http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/studiosuits-linen-suits-99/reviews). We ordered my FI his last night and once we see how the material is and the sizing we're going to order the rest of the groomsmen theirs. They are actual linen suits so alot lighter than the typical suit... I'll post my review once it's in

We're at the Grand Palladium in Punta Cana so it would make sense that the sunsets are at different times... I'm still confused how they can think the suns completely gone by shortly after 6 though... I've been to Mexico and Punta Cana and I remember it being light out when I would walk to dinner for 7ish... and it being completely dark when I left... then again thats in Jan-Feb... Obviously the photographers and WC's know best lol

Our WC told us that sunset will be just after 6 on the 28th as well! Where are you having your wedding? You're the first person I've found with the same date as me

Yea she basically told me to wait until we get closer to the date... they only have one judge for all of Punta Cana (or so I've heard) so depending on their schedule sometimes times have to change... I'll probably ask again in Marchish..

I wish ours could be scheduled a little be later. Our WC said the only time the judge was available on our date (April 28th) is at 1:00pm. It's going to be so hot! Hopefully they have to move it later, I'd much rather it be closer to the time of our reception dinner which is at 6:00... 3:00pm or 4:00pm would be perfect for me!

Ekk! I'm definitely in need of some accountability! I'm about 5 months away from my big day and have just started heading to the gym on a regular basis.... well I should say I had started... then last week I kinda slipped and I haven't been in a week... Out WC suggested that we have them translated at the Consult... We're going to the one in Montreal to have everything notarized/translated and to sign our single affidavit... Below is all of the info that was emailed to me from the Consult, including their pricing and their email is [email protected]... Hope this helps! Wedding instructions Please follow these instructions very carefully to avoid any delay on the process of your documents. v Valid Passport* v Original Birth Certificate* * v Single Status Affidavit and Divorce Act**. (original and notarized by a Notary Public or a Commissioner of oaths when send it by mail) find a sample of the Single Status affidavit below. v A minimum of two witnesses and a maximum of 8 (2 of them must not be blood relative) aged 18 years or over. The remaining 6 witnesses could be members of your family as stipulated on the provision No. 659 of the current legal law in the Dominican Republic. Foreignness witnesses need to hold a valid passport.
