    I think I remember in one of your posts you liked coral? I think I saw a really pretty coral dress... I know for sure there was orange and a pale pink.

    Thanks!! I'm definitely going to make it strapless, and am going to add a sash to the middle. I was thinking about using the "bling" in the front and putting it in the center of a flower thingy with feathers or something and attaching that to the sash. I've got lots of time to think about it!

    I forgot to add! I was in H&M today and saw adorable dresses that would make great BM dresses!! I also really nice white dresses for us! They would be perfect for an engagement party or rehearsal/welcome dinner. I'm going back after work to try stuff on, will take pics!

    Question for all you Rose Hall Beach/Suites brides from TORONTO... has anyone gotten rates yet for April 2012? I've gotten a few quotes and they seem so high! Just wondering if I'm out of my mind or if it is what it is and either I accept it or choose another hotel. So far, rates have ranged from $1800 (beach) to over $2000 (suites) for all-in from Toronto. I was really hoping to find something around $1800 for the suites.. is that unreasonable?

    Yikes! I'm scared now... it was hard enough getting a date in April! Right now we're booked for April 6, however, I haven't gotten firm travel dates yet so that may change. It will definitely be April though. I'd better get on it! If only my TA's would hurry up!!

    Wow! Awesome ideas!!! Thanks for sharing... and keep them coming! lol!! I love crafty stuff but I feel like I have no time!! I need to take a week off once I get a plan and just do a bunch of crafts!

    You can always fancy it up with accessories. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with a black dress which in pictures I think will look dressy enough regardless of material. I just want something flowy. The cotton/jersey material of the AA dresses could be dressed up with sparkly jewelry and hair accessories or flowers in their hair.. or some sparkly flip flops! And they'll have the bouquets (if you plan to do that) which would dress it up as well. Good on you for being able to sew!! I would love to learn!

    Photographers booked already? Oh man... I need to get on with the rest of the planning! Do you book the photographer yourself or did Nicole/Tiffany? Thanks!

    Wow, that does really suck! But JayKay is right, you'll have people there who really want to be there and appreciate the invitation. Are you wearing your dress again?! You get two parties! lol!

    In terms of dresses, you can always go for an off the rack option I picked up mine last week! I love it and got a designer gown, in 100% silk, at a fraction of the cost! I'll just find my own seamstress - likely to be at a much better rate than the store would offer, and have my own alterations done. I'll also need to have it drycleaned, but I have so much time!

    Thanks for info on the pricing, I'll check that against what I've gotten. Am pretty sure the flights are driving up the costs. It's crazy!!

    I'm torn, I think for work it will be easier to keep my maiden name... And I'm scared of all the calls I'll have to make and paperwork I'll have to submit!! However I do like the unity in sharing a name... The struggle continues!

    I do love this thread! I picked up my dress last week (bought it at a sample sale) so will put it on and take a pic. I'm going to be making alterations to it though so I'll do a before and after alterations. I'm so excited!! It's a beautiful dress but once I customize it I'm hoping it looks amazing! Now I just need a great seamstress in Toronto that won't cost me more than the dress did.... is there a thread for that?

    I agree! Definitely ridiculous given it's a huge purchase and MAJOR part of the day! You need to be able to see yourself in it and how it might look in pictures. If a store didn't allow it, I snuck in a pic in the change room or had my friend do it. So glad you found your dress though! Congrats!

    I have one of those american apparel dresses! They are pretty great on the beach, does it look fancy enough? I think I want something in a chiffon-like material, the aa dresses are cotton. In the pictures it would still look great, and i love the idea that they could tie them up in different ways.
