  1. I guess It depends on how you value their lives, it is a bit selfish thinking just on us, because pictures are for our children too, aunts, parents, brothers, we never know what will happen tomorrow. each stage in our lives must be remembered by us and others, I delightful enjoy browse through an photo album, memories come back  and I live again, I know amazing stories how just a photo brought joy to a new family  and also know how a lack of pictures made my Grandfather life totally unknown by me, I wish I had just some pictures of my Grand father.

So if you just look for someone that can click the button, then It will be almost the same story, but If you find a photographer with great vision and skills to catch your personality then you will have the best pictures to remember you

we do not know what's coming don't be selfish

  2. @pddcmcI know you didn't ask this, but will probably help, I have seen many troubles lighting the sparkles, so get a lighter for a candle, need to be a big enough and covered candle, so around 5 guest can quickly light the sparkle and all them are on time! and make the perfect scenario :)

By the way I have restructure my wedding photo prices If needed, better ones!

    Cheers!!

  3. probably this resort is one of my favourites, It has many many locations for ceremonies and receptions, I have pasted 2 links to some of my recent weddings in there, they may help in some planning or perhaps some different vision of photography

  4. @@Sabes44  you need to be careful that the photographer you select has enough experience by himself to perform such an important event, there is nothing left after the day, just pictures, they can tell 1000 words if they are greatly captured

In case you need to see what outside photographers can do, check this out, will help a lot! I think!

  5. Can anyone advise on what you have done or are planning to do if there is rain on your wedding day?!

All of my wedding decorations, tables, lighting I have rented is designed for our outside reception. I look at the weather for next week and absolutely panic!!!!

    HELP!!

@@jackielemman In every hotel/resort have plan B, I mean more than one option when possible (determined by size and availability of spots for the day) , usually depending on the weather forecast that advice on time (when possible rain is something unknown in some small way), so this way you might never have an issue regarding rain, I have shot more than 400 weddings and when It rainsm, the wedding was previously moved and successfully held :)

  7. In photography you pay for experience of the photographer. we all always want to earn more money in out work, so we keep improving and doing things right, but what at the end pays for is the experience.

No one is going to be able to difference the other costs, because you will need to know the business and each company to compare, but know in deep.

there is artists and companies, in general artists do most of the creative process and companies just delegate almost all.

When you see pictures online in a size enough to look amazing on your screen, there is when you are not seeing any difference in photo quality, taking about sharpness, contrast and color, because pictures are shrink and they will look better than the biggest size or even worst when you enlarge them or blow up them

having a price is a matter of costs, future strategies and improvement, so each price may be no sense different, but remember something, I am telling you, the risks are unknown, It is a coin in the air.

The safest way... experience (years of working), personalised attention and direct contact psychologically can see how the people is and of course look at many many pictures to have an idea of the photographer vision and ability

  8. Hello everyone!!

We are just engaged and I'm starting to see prices and options that I have for my wedding in the riviera maya!

I'm already in contact with a wedding planner, she told us she charges 800 USD for her services, I think it is a bit expensive... We want a very simple wedding, and we will only be 10 persons...

And especially, I want a wedding coordinator for all the legal stuff, for finding a french translator, but I'm in contact with the cabana I want, I will find my photographers etc...

    What do you think?

I'm in contact with the "La Zebra" in Tulum, and it seems to be a wonderful and quiet place... Does anyone use this place for their wedding? I'm a bit worries concerning the dishes... We've been in riviera maya before and we went to the restaurant "la cueva del chango" and it was amazing, I don't know if the la Zebra would have the same quality...

So, I'm confused... Do I use la Zebra or do I use la cueva del chango for the reception and I let the wedding planner find a quiet place elsewhere for the ceremony? huh.gif

@@maili Good luck on your planning, I have a suggestion for you, you do not really need to do a legal ceremony in Mexico, It is not an obligation, you can do a representative wedding and you may save money and administrative paperwork and time.

Also I do strongly recommend you that the minister speaks your local lenguaje and he/she is a great minister so she/he makes you feel the emotional in the moments of getting married not just a simple and bored ceremony, this is important for pictures, really important!!! this does not happen in a legal ceremony, because it need to be in spanish, legally, and the translation just makes it senseless from my point

in case you want to see one of my wedding in La Zebra  to have an idea what I am talking about just go and browse more of my work it is true moments :) and if you need anything else from me, let me know!
