  1. Hello!! Here is mine... I can't wait...My wedding will finally take place in the punta venado ranch in the riviera maya in may 2012 and me and my guests will stay (we hope... we can't book it yet... that's drive me crazy..) in the palladium colonial resort. We all come from France! I really had a crush on that dress... i just hope i will not suffocate in it with the heat!!! I hope you will like it! Audrey
  2. Hello! Thank you for your response, But we don't believe in any religion, so we can't do a religious ceremony... And it will lose its meaning if it is not legal, right? That 's why I don't know what to do... Is the legalization hard to get for US and canadian citizens? Thanks again! Big kiss from Paris (I'd prefer be in Mexico right now, I really hate my town so colourless and cold... )
  3. Hello, We are a french couple, and we decided to get married with our small family in the riviera maya in may 2012, I found a wedding planner agency which seem to be great : SIXSENS. Do you know them? They made me a great offer with really reasonable price on a very calm and beautiful beach away from big resorts... They however pointed a little problem with the legalization of weddings... It seems we have to go to Mexico in order to do the transcription in the french consulate... I really don't want to do that... They are trying to see if it can be done in Cancun, but they are not sure... How does it work for you to legalize your wedding? Thank you everybody !! Audrey
  4. Hello! Yes I would like to be legally married in Mexico! Even if it seems more simple than in the Dominican republic (it was our first choice) it is a real headache! That's why I thing a wedding planner will be mandatory in my case... Thanks for the link !
  5. Oh great!! Check on trip advisor, you will see marvelous pictures of La Zebra!! I think it is a good choice! If I were you, I will stay the night in one of their cabanas... You will waking up watching the sea just in front of you for your first morning as a married woman!!
  6. Hello everyone!! We are just engaged and I'm starting to see prices and options that I have for my wedding in the riviera maya! I'm already in contact with a wedding planner, she told us she charges 800 USD for her services, I think it is a bit expensive... We want a very simple wedding, and we will only be 10 persons... And especially, I want a wedding coordinator for all the legal stuff, for finding a french translator, but I'm in contact with the cabana I want, I will find my photographers etc... What do you think? I'm in contact with the "La Zebra" in Tulum, and it seems to be a wonderful and quiet place... Does anyone use this place for their wedding? I'm a bit worries concerning the dishes... We've been in riviera maya before and we went to the restaurant "la cueva del chango" and it was amazing, I don't know if the la Zebra would have the same quality... So, I'm confused... Do I use la Zebra or do I use la cueva del chango for the reception and I let the wedding planner find a quiet place elsewhere for the ceremony?
  7. Thanks everyone!! You are so right MLABBE! I don't particularly want to get married to xel ha, but I definitly want an intimate place... And that seems to be hard to find! I won't be bother by a small group of tourists but in big resorts, it is really too much! Last time in the palladium, I saw a woman topless who was watching the wedding... As a bride, i don't really want to turn my face and see that watching me...
  8. Hello!! We are a french couple just engaged! My fiançé proposed to me at XEL HA in the riviera maya, so we would really like to do our wedding there!! For now, I 'm searching informations to see if it is possible... I mean, it will be possible to take a resort package, but I saw one last november in the Palladium resort in Riviera maya, It was great, but all the tourists in bathing suits were watching and tried to see more by coming more closer... I hated that... So... I would like to stay in the Palladium with my family (we will be only 10 persons) and to do the civil ceremony elsewhere... I saw a place called "La zebra"in Tulum, it is so wonderful, i wish i can do it here, but it seems a bit expensive compared to the resort packages... And we have to take a wedding coordinator, that too is expensive... We had this idea to do the reception in "la cueva del chango" in playa del carmen(great great restaurant!!) if the "la Zebra" was too expensive for us, but then where can I do the ceremony without being watch by billions of tourists ? Does anyone want to do their wedding like me? Maybe we can help each over by giving tips!! Big kisss to all future brides!! Audrey
