  1. Each tote is 9.5 height x14 inches across. I measured how wide they open and they appear to be 4.5 inches at the bottom (deep?).
  2. I believe its canvas material. It's pretty solid, not flimsy at all.
  3. I bought some tote bags and after getting them determined they wont fit all what I would like to put in there. They are brand new, still with tags, and I don't think Dollar Tree has them in stock anymore. Nothing wrong with them other than they were too small for me. $36.00+shipping.
  4. Oh I think this is an awesome idea!! I know easier said than done, but it is your wedding. If you like it i really think you should do it, the pictures would look so fun!
  5. Do you have the product number for the canvas bags at Oriental Trading, I can't seem to find them on their website.
  6. So....got my totes in the mail. They are super cute, only problem is I agree what RiniB said, they are a little too small for what we are looking for, and sales at Dollar Tree are final If anyone went to buy these and they were out of stock, you can buy them from me!! I am going to post them in the classifieds here when I can get a good picture, but will give anyone here first crack at them! Just PM me if you would like to see more pics and are interested!!!
  7. That's awesome news thank you!! I have seen pictures of people doing this at night and it looks amazing! I am thinking of getting a small amount, maybe just for our wedding party and ourselves and having everyone write a wish for us on them and doing a release. I think we will order from this site, as they have eco lanterns that are non-harmful to the environment. They do also say on their website they you are able to travel with them if they are put in your carry on luggage. http://www.skywishlanterns.com/
  8. Has anyone used/know if we can release wish lanterns at the resort? I would call and ask but figured it would be faster to ask you girls!
  9. Just a note, I went to order them this morning and they said they were out of stock. Needless to say I panicked a bit....BUT, I just went back and they were in stock again. Just letting brides know, these may be a hot ticket item and if you like them, buy them right away to avoid the sinking feeling I just went through this morning!
  10. Such a great idea, I love when wedding receptions have these!
  11. Are they pretty on point with the size in the picture on the website? Was it only Blue, Green and Pink?
  12. I know Dollar Tree has had tote bags for a while now, but they have a new stock of different colors! I think they are great for our tropical destinations! http://www.dollartree.com/new-arrivals-seasonal/new-items/Classic-Solid-Colored-Tote-Bags/215c275c275p319506/index.pro They look like they are a seasonal item, so I am going to order mine now for our Feb wedding. I don't want them to run out of stock later in the summer and I have lost my chance. I like these the best so far of all the dollar totes I've seen from Dollar Tree and Oriental Trading!
  13. Awesome idea! Have we gotten anywhere on the passing of the starfish idea or something along those lines? I think it would be awesome if we could get that going, possibly something 'borrowed'. 2011 Brides 6.30.2011 – mrsdeloatch2be – Suites 7.13.2011 – daisymable – Suites 9.9.2011 – Islandgirl910 – Suites 9.10.2011 – toiinlove – Grand 10.8.2011 – futuremrstgun – Beach 10.30.2012 – nolabride78 (Stacy & Raymond) 11.6.2011 – pmwoodard1978 (Paula & xx) – Beach 11.6.2011 - ErinDoc (Erin & Bryan) - Suites 11.11.2011 – mrsgreene2011 (Jeanine & Reuben) – Suites 11.14.2011 - Sn2bMrsMarshall (Eric & Sheena) - Beach 11.16.2011 – starrysim – Beach 12.6.2011 – Kimberli1211 (Kim & Coleman) – Suites 2012 Brides 1.9.2012 – daizyduke – Suites 1.18.2012 - RyGuysBride - Suites 2.2.2012 – shanas (Shana & Brian) – Beach 2.11.2012 - bmaxam12 - Suites 2.22.2012 - X-Tina - Suites 2.24.2012 – hayjk – Suites 2.26.2012 – bjcs21 – Suites 3.19.2012-Saskbride2012 (Kari&Sean) = Suites 4.18.2012 – cGd41812 – Suites 5.30.2012 – MoBayBride2B – Suites 6.22.2012 – dcrow55 – Suites 7.1.2012 – JADE28 (Charene & Kevin) – Suites 7.22.2012 – IslandBride201x (Kim & Eric) – Suites
  14. I bought my dress this weekend and have absolutely no second thoughts! I am so so excited to get it in a few months and see what it looks like when it actually fits me I just want to say thank you everyone for your advice and encouragement! All the girls on here are so great, we are so lucky to have such a large support system during what I have found out can be such a stressful time! THANKS!!!
  15. Does anyone know how much they were at Walmart?
  16. I also went with SunGold but booked their associates which are much cheaper. The pictures on their website look great (wpajamaica.com), and with some packages you get 2 associates. I figure, if they have the backing of Paula and Damien, they are good enough for us!!
  17. I was planning on (if i get this dress) walking barefoot during the ceremony and getting super high gorgeous heels for after. I just thought it would be fun and cute to have the sand between my toes while we are getting married. I have heard wedges are pretty good in the sand, but imo I don't really think wedges would go with a shorter dress...
  18. We printed straight on our envelopes from the printer, but that's cause I have horrible handwriting and my hands were crippled anyway from making our boarding pass magnets!
  19. I kind of combined the invite/STD together. We sent out our boarding pass invites 9 mo in advance with a link to our website where we built in all trip info and the RSVP capability into our website, and just posted on the invite and website to rsvp by a certain date (5 mo in advance). I saw no need to send out another invitation as those go out usually so close to the wedding, and by then people already should (at least I hope!) know by then if they're going. I think for destination weddings sending out an early invitation is plenty, no need to spend more money than you need to
  20. We aren't really having an 'official' logo, but this is probably what we will end up putting on our OOT mugs and bags. Definitely not on the formal side, but very much speaks for our personalities
  21. Thank you so much! My FI is a web developer and has a number of other websites, so he has an account through bluehost and we have our databases and get our domains through there. If you are looking to just do a quick website I am sure godaddy would work fine! I built all the code myself, I took an html/css class for work about a year ago, best class I ever took! I have created recipe websites for us, our weight loss challenge websites, and now this website! The FI had to do some of the more intricate work like making the RSVP page function and store our RSVPs. Our Beach Bum agent just emailed us the packet, and I put a link to it up on our page just recently. PM me if you have any questions! I loved doing it, I should have it as a little side job!!!
  22. I wish I could have paper lanterns, I always wanted some, but unless you rent out the restaurant as 'private' you cant hang lanterns. Seeing as that's $800, no thanks... Make sure to check out orientaltrading.com . They have AMAZING stuff for super cheap, it's where we are getting a majority of our stuff. I went to Jo-ann fabric yesterday and found orchid stems (about 10 orchis/stem) on sale for $1.50!! We will probably be buying up their whole stock!
