With the symbolic ceremony, did it look like a legal ceremony, we are thinking about legally getting married here but we don't want our guests to know about it. Also is the signing done during the ceremony? I have never seen that before

So glad to see so many of us out there supporting eachother, I have fallen off the work out wagon and I can not seem motivated enough to keep it up, I will do 30 day shred for maybe a week or a week and a half and then stop... I need to start it again I am going to do my best to try tonight! I have lost 15lbs and seem to be able to keep it at around that weight, my FI is on a diet too which really helps, he has lost 50 lbs! He looks so good Well good luck to everyone on their goals, I would like to lose about 10-15 more so we will see, I am 199 days until the wedding!

7 Months!!

I have not had them try on the dresses yet, half of them were on back order until Aug. so when they call come in I think I am going to have them all over so we can figure them out and see how everyone wants to wear them. I have heard that there are a bunch of you tube videos that show how to do them, I also had a friend that just came back from a wedding in Mexico where they girls had the shorter versions and she said they all turned out really cute and they all just figured out how to wear them that day so they must not be to hard

These are the dresses that i ordered from Victoria's Secret, i had a really hard time finding something that i liked because all my girls are completely different body types, I have always liked the idea of different dresses with the same color but all the bridal shops i felt like were too expensive since i was buying the dresses as their gift. These dresses are the multi way ones and can be worn i think 12 different ways, i bought them in purple but they do not have that color anymore, they also have them a little shorter as well

I hand wrote my STD's, I stressed over this also but decided that we are not having a formal wedding so I shouldnt have to worry if something is not considered formal or not

Has anyone used a different photographer then the one at the resort, I found a vendor Octavio Montes that will give you 90 prints plus all pictures taken on a CD with the rights to them, and if I book them for a 3 night stay for 2 people it is still cheaper then the Arrecife wedding package where you get I think it is 30 6x8's and some other prints with 100 photos on a CD. Anyways I am just wondering if anyone else has done this where they just book a photographer for 3 days so they are a "guest" at your wedding, I am wondering if this is difficult and a pain or am I better off just using Arrecife and not worry about the headache?

My travel agent told us to do the same thing. I think that as long as you book your tickets in your maiden name then you will not have any problems. You will have to go change your name after the wedding, I have friends that were married here for over a year before the legally changed their last name. I think we are going to get married here first just so we do not have to worry about the headache of getting everything, and in Mexico you have to have a blood test and arrive like 3 or 4 days early, so it just makes sense to do it that way. I don't think we are going to let anyone know that we are doing it that way, we will just go to the courthouse to have it legal but we will celebrate our anniversary on the Mexico date. vbbbtk- I live in Illinois also and I went to a place that did the same thing, they cut the tags and would not allow pictures, I found 2 dresses there that I really liked, but I went online and found dresses that were similar and went to another place that wasn't as strict and I found I really enjoyed them better and actually found my dress there. I would suggest trying that, take the pictures of the dresses that are similar and tell let the people at that place know what you had tried on, they might have it or know of something similar that you might end up falling in love with. One of my friends went to the same place that I did where they cut the tags out, she had found a dress she really liked and when she asked for the designer name they told her it was a private label to that place only, she went to another store and found the same dress! I dont know why they have to be like that it made me not want to go back to retry those dresses on, and in the long run I ended up finding another dress that I love so it all worked out in the end. For those of you who are going to go barefoot on the sand and then wear heels for the reception how are you getting your dress hemmed for barefeet or heels?

We are using a travel agent, and as long as they go through her our guests will receive a discount, she has the same pricing as applevactions.com then they receive more off with our wedding. Also what is nice about that is at the end we are getting money for everyone who books through her. So it works to the advantage for both sides. There is no set "group rate" but depending on how long they are staying they get some money off.

So I have been really slacking when it comes to working out. I am doing good on eating right but I started doing 30 day shred again yesterday. I was originally doing it and only got to about 4 days into level 2. This time I am determined to do it for all 30 days. My motivation right now is that I am a speaker in a wedding on July 3rd and if I am going to have to stand up in front of everyone I would like to feel like I look good. So as long as I stay on it I should finish it and feel better about my self. Here's to hoping I can keep motivated the whole time! But on the plus side I am down 13lbs just from changing my eating habits!

I have lost 10lbs total so far! I have started to plateau so I think I need to step up my workouts a little more. But I ordered my dress in March and now I am nervous that I am going to need a bunch of alterations but I would like to lose at least 10 more lbs. Oh well I guess paying for the alterations will be worth it if I can get down in weight!

I know everyone keeps asking my why i would choose to get married on Friday the 13th, I think that it is fun!
