  1. I love the welcome books. I think I will also try to do some fun games to include in our OOT bags. I have found some really great ideas from this forum. How did you create the word search and word puzzles?
  2. Thanks for posting the menu. Do they have a buffet menu? I am thinking about doing Jellyfish for our rehearsal dinner. We are expecting about 50 ppl and do not want it to be too expensive.
  3. I have booked my wedding at DPC for ~50 guests. Himitsu terrace is the location for large groups. These forums do help in visualizing how the various location sites look like. I don't believe you have to be at the site, but im sure it wouldn't hurt. I booked a trip to go the DPC beginning of april to arrive end of may for a low cost (about 850 with flight pp). It helped us meet with the WC who showed us around the property. Now if you are not able to arrive there, you can certainly search this forum.
  4. Im getting married at DPC also at the Himitsu terrace as well. I am going to try to bring color sashes and tea candles to make it look nice, since my wedding will be in the evening. I am thinking about bringing in some vases and freeze dried real flowers from save on crafts dot com. I may send them with me on the plane. Unsure how it will all work out though.
  5. Im getting married at DPC in June 4th 2011. I can't wait!!!
  6. Ok where are you going for your honeymoon after the wedding? I am getting married in Punta Cana and would like to have my honeymoon there but at a different resort. Getting married at Dreams Punta Cana and would like an adults only place. We were thinking about Excellence. What about others out there? Any ideas? Where are you going for honeymoon?
  7. Hey I was thinking about bringing down some vases and freeze dried flowers from save-on-crafts.com. They have an assortment of colors and flowers that can be mailed to you. And it can be submerged in water. I also use inspiration from kio kreations (kiokreations.com). She uses some of the items from save on crafts. com. Hope this helps.
  8. I think I am going to bring some freeze dried flowers that can be submersed in water for my centerpieces. I plan to bring the vases and flowers down with me. you can find them at save-on-crafts.com. They have an assortment of colors and different types of flowers also. I have been using inspiration from Kio Kreations (kiokreations.com) cuz this person uses some of her tools from the save on crafts site. Hope this is helpful.
  9. I have tasted the assorted sushi and it was OK. Me and my FI did a tasting there when we were planning our wedding and we tasted the smoked salmon canape and we were surprised as to how good it was. We did taste the spring rolls, which were good. The chicken taquitos were surprisingly not great. It had chicken bones in it which were a drag. The meatballs in pomodoro sauce was good also. hope this helps.....
  10. Thanks for the information ladies. I think I will look at a different location. I do like the pics on the site, but I do want a place with some activities. Thanks again ska2m.
  11. Has anyone been to Secret Sanctuary in Punta Cana? I am thinking about having my honeymoon there and want to know if it is a great place to go. I am getting married at Dreams Punta Cana Resort and Spa and wanted to go to a different location (an adults only). Has anyone been there before? Just curious.
  12. Thanks for the info lilboltz. How many people did you have at your wedding? We are trying to push for about 50 but with my mother talking to others it may be up to 70. Who did you have as a DJ? I am thinking about DJ Mannia, but unsure. Has anyone used him as a DJ and if so, how was he? He seems a bit pricey, but unsure if it is worth it.
  13. I am planning my wedding for June 4th 2011 and I have the Hit for my reception site. I was wondering if anyone has used the paper lanterns to decorate the site? Can you post some pics for me? U can email me at [email protected]. I am curious as to how to hang the lanterns. I am also concerned about lighting. If it gets dark, will there be ample lighting? I also wanted to express my gratitude for all the information you ladies have provided. I learned so much from all of you. I feel so lucky to have stumbled upon this forum.
  14. Thanks for the picture. I am planning my wedding for June2011 and it is good to see the set up of the chairs. I wanted to know if anyone has any good ideas on what to do for a rehearsal dinner? I am expecting about ~70 guests and would like to do something cost effective. We were looking at the Jellyfish, but unsure of the pricing. We are waiting to hear back. Any suggestions??? Also does anyone know how I can contact Dj Mannia? Can you send me a link? Thanks
