  1. I am looking at doing the same thing. The problem we have is that we have guests flying from different destinations. I am going to see if they can offer us a discount code for booking.
  2. Totally splurging on Dan Sanchez and Jessica Waite. Surprisingly, my fiance seems ok with it as well:) There were two things that were really important to me, the photographer and looking beautiful! These two do a ton of professional shoots. They have photos right now in the current issue of Destination Bride.
  3. We are looking at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali. I love the fact that it has rooms in many different price ranges and categories to fit our guests needs. The resort is right next to the Black Rock area in Kaanapali which means great snorkeling and is right on the beach. We are thinking about having our ceremony there as well. I have been totally impressed with the response time to all of my emails. I am reviewing contracts this week and will most likely be booking.
  4. This is what we are planning. We are getting married in Maui in April of 2012 and are currently looking at Luaus. We will be a party of 20-25 guests. I was really worried that we would miss out on the "party" part of the reception by only having a small group, so a luau really fits what we want. We have no problem being untraditional. The only snag I ran into is most luaus will not seat your party together or will place strangers at your table if you do not fill a full one (8 guests). Because of this, we are looking at the Feast at Lele, which does a full luau put on by the Old Lahaina Luau but will guarantee us at one table bc it is a five course plated dinner. I figure we are getting the best of both worlds this way.
  5. Great job! And looks very professional. Your guests will love these!
  6. I really thought that we weren't going to register, but am starting to rethink it. My fiance is Chinese and money is a pretty common gift from his relatives, but my family is starting to ask about gifts and every time I tell them no, they say that if I don't register, they will get us something that we may not want. We will probably register at one or two places.
  7. Hi there! I am curious if most of you are shipping all of your OTT bag stuff or carrying it with you. We are trying to budget right now for our OOT bags and are trying to figure out what will work best. We are getting married in Maui and going directly to our honeymoon on Kauai, and I am worried about bringing too much stuff and what we will do with it since we don't want to be lugging it around. Thanks!
  8. I love Old Navy's flip flops. I have several pair and may be going this route for guests.
  9. Cute idea. May have to steal this one. I like the idea of giving something practical that will be used after the wedding.
  10. I love the idea of sending out a packing list and the luggage tags ahead of time. Very cute!
  11. My fiance is against us spending too much money on OOT bags, so I too have been trying to be creative but cost effective.
