  1. You did a great job! Encourages me to do more online shopping, lol! Thanks for sharing. Hope your wedding day is all that you dream of:-)
  2. Oh, you look beautiful Teira! A BD book is part of my gift to the FI, and your pics are proof that it can be a really neat gift! Tasteful & sexy, I especially like how your shoes match your eye color..stunning! Your hubby will be thrilled! :-)
  3. Don't know if this helps, but I had my TA send "nudge emails" to the guests who requested a quote-yet haven't booked. It offered new rates, contact info...all that's necessary to get a confirmation from a guest. I understand that people like to wait until a "good deal", however that's not how the travel industry works. If they wait too long, prices will go up and then the wedding will be "too expensive" to attend, lol. Don't stress, and have a beautiful wedding day:-)
  4. Hello Ladies, Anyone know of a really good BD Photographer in the area? These pics have to be amazing for the FI:-)
  5. Congratulations on a beautiful wedding! I am French and I understand your desire to have both of your cultures represented and honored. You did a wonderful job! I particularly liked the flying butterflies and the detail/texture in your paper choices. :-)
  6. Hello! These look wonderful..can you please tell me about the belly bands? Is that pocket folder color called "punch shimmer"? What color does the vendor call the green envelope exactly. Thank you so much for your help...invitations are becoming a nightmare:-(
  7. Aww, your E pics are lovely:-) You two are glowing! Thank you for sharing.
  8. Yaay! I knew a Diva would respond:-) I'm sending you some info, check your inbox...

  11. Hi QueenDiva, I absolutely love your name, lol:-) Thank you for suggesting E, I have not yet looked on their site. I've heard great things about Rockhouse...intimate, warm, historical. Great choice. The Jamaican Trivia cards sound cool...where'd you find them? Thanks for the suggestions:-)
  12. Welcome Ladies! I have purchased my dresses...1 for the Jamaica portion and 1 for the celebration at home. They are both stunning formal dresses. I am having a DW but there is nothing informal/casual about it, lol. What about you...have you narrowed your choices? Right now I am veil-hunting...Any OOT bags ladies?
  13. Good morning Ladies! I am getting married at the SANDALS GRANDE RIVIERA in Ocho Rios on July 16, 2011. Has anyone come across any really stylish birdcages or veils. I've been all ove the city, and I seem to only find veils that any catalogue can come up with. My sister lives in Miami so I'm hoping to have better options. I ust put her on the hunt, lol:-) For any other Destination Brides, how is your OOT bag shopping going? Favors? Any suggestions?
  14. Roll call for all July 2011 Brides! I am getting married at the SANDALS GRANDE RIVIERA in Ocho Rios. What about you??
  15. Ha, the trash the dress should be great!! I am doing that the following day...but with another dress of course, lol:-)
  16. Its been going smoothly. I happen to like our Sandals Coordinator. Now my only concern is the photo/video package. They look really cheesy and sooooo not worth $1800 for a 25 minute video and 36 pics! Considering an outside photographer...afterall, you only get married once! What have you decided for your video/photo?
  17. Hi Liz23, Hope this helps:The actual link is www.shoretrips.com BOB MARLEY NINE MILE TOUR Our Nine Mile tour will introduce you to a community that helped influence one of the greatest musicians of this century. It will leave you with a better understanding of a young man, whose vision helped change the thoughts of people worldwide. No small achievement for a man who often spoke of his respect for the simple rural life. Respect that helped guide his life. Respect instilled during his youthful days in the small mountain village locals still call Nine Mile. On this tour you will: • Visit Nine Mile village • Scenic drive • Bob Marley's home • "Mount Zion Rock" • Fireside • Muir House & Brown's Town This tour takes you through some of the most breathtaking, picturesque scenery in Jamaica, traveling through Higgins Town and Claremont to the village of Nine Mile, a quaint little place in the beautiful mountains of St. Ann. This is where the legendary "King of Reggae", Bob Marley was born on February 6th 1945, and is the very same place he was later laid to rest. The tour starts at the family home where the family’s history began. Many of Bob's close family still lives there. You may run into someone who can tell you stories of Bob's childhood. The tour takes you through the house Bob lived in as a young boy, and your Rastafarian guide will share with you little known insights into Bob Marley's childhood and musical career. You will get to stand on "Mount Zion Rock" where Bob used to meditate and rest his head on "the pillow" made famous in the song "Talking Blues". Finally, walk through the mausoleum, which is the final resting place of the Reggae King. You will also see the Fireside where Young Bob Marley cooked his meals as depicted in the song No Woman No Cry quote “we would cook cornmeal porridge of which I share with you". Your return trip is a continuation of your excursion, which takes you through rural Jamaica, as you wind your way through scenic Muir House and Brown's Town. You will see the Brown’s Town market, famous for its produce. There is no better way to end your tour as you return to your North Coast destination. Nine Mile is owned and operated by Bob's family. It is not unusual to find his mother, affectionately called Mother B, personally greeting visitors, sometimes even being persuaded to relate stories of her son's childhood. And, if not Mother B, there is always Uncle Lloyd who is never too far away or too busy to tell tales of young Nesta.
  18. Thank you for the help. SANDALS frowns upon photographers etc. Did you just pay for her as a regular guest?
  19. Yes, I am including a map of the city and an extensive list of suggestions for guests. I figure some will like this or that but at least they know what is available to them. Especially if you have guests of varying age groups...
  20. I agree with J , with the cost of the reception dinner, OOT bags etc...I would like to SUGGEST several options for guests without necessarily paying for them. I will be doing, horseback riding, ziplining, Mystic Mountain (the amusement park), ATV Safari, etc. Here are a few suggestions from my TA who is fantastic,BTW. They were further confirmed by my girlfriend, a Jamaican native:-) 1. A nice after-wedding event would be a therapeutic, scenic and romantic river raft ride on the Martha Brae, approx $89.00 per person. 2. Another nice option is Island Vibes Dunn's River Cruise at $80.00 per person. This includes admission to climb Dunns River Falls. 3. Bob Marley 9-Mile Tour
