We weren't planning on having a rehearsal ourselves...just a welcome dinner (which you do not need the wedding coordinator for). My friend who go married in the Riviera Maya did not have a rehearsal and it all went very smoothly...the wc just told everyone when to go and what to do and it worked out just fine.

I paid for my own dress. I don't have living parents, and my FI's mom is on disability, so we have to actually pay for her to attend our wedding (as if 2 students can really comfortably afford it!!)

Ok so maybe the title was a little dramatic, but I wanted to share what I just learned today... I'm sure some of you already know this, but after 10 orders, I JUST found out that you can change the font size, color, type, etc on your orders such as on Tshirts, bags, hats, labels--anything!! I wish I would have known when I started ordering!! It doesn't add any sort of fee on the order for changing these things. Have fun with it!!

Oh and I also meant to say....the reason I'm so unsure about this color combo is that after searching many boards I can't find anyone else who has done this specifically! (Does that mean it's bad??)

After a lot of searching and frustration (especially since my WC sent me pics of possible chair sashes and I didnt like any!), I think I have found my colors. Please tell me what you think. I have chosen a turquoise (or aqua? teal? Not sure the difference...), royal blue, and orange for accents. Here is my inspiration board:

I ordered the "small" tote bags (the only ones that are free) and they are a really good size. And dominiqueamber, the quality of the print on the bags is awesome!!

I just got a new camera and was playing around with it, taking pics of my E-ring. I hadn't been able to take great pics before because I always had crappy cameras. Anyway, you'll see that they are sort of dorky ... lol... but I thought I'd post them. I didn't even think to pull out my band and take a pic of that....

I'm getting married in June 2011 and have a lot of projects on the go, and it is definitely time to figure out my color scheme. I have been trying to decide for soo long but it just isn't working! Ive looked on here and at inspiration boards... I have always liked the blue colors...like a tiffany blue, aqua, teal, cobalt blue... so I'm trying to figure out how to make one or some of these colors work. I am thinking I'll probably have to pick a blue and have bright tropical flowers. I just got an email from my WC with pictures of the sashes and I wasn't impressed. This is the only one I like really: So my question is....do you think I shoudl go with bridesmaid dresses that match these ties, or could I do a different type of blue? What about teal? I really don't want bright bridesmaid dresses like pink or orange. I'm just so confused and any input would help! The only other thing I can think of is to somehow use red because there are red sashes as well and I've seen a few nice pics of red...

I am definitely changing my name. Not only have I always hated my last name (it's very long) but I like my FI's last name. I have never really gotten along with my stepdad (whose last name I have) so I am excited to change it. Also, I am a teacher, and will be very excited to have a name students can remember!! I have absolutely no issue with brides keeping their own names. It's definitely a personal choice!!

So I am making personalized fans for favours and plan on distributing them before the ceremony so people can use them if they need to. I am trying to think of the best way to do this, though, because I plan on having something else for my male guests (yet to be determined), so I can't just leave them on each chair. Any ideas of how I could distribute these before the ceremony to ensure the ladies get the fans and the men get whatever I decide? Another question would be what could I give to the men for favors since I know they won't use the fans... Thanks
