OK - so I'm not even getting married until January 2012, but I can't help but to get an early start so.... this is what I have acquired so far The lip balms I got for $.08 each from Walgreens with the amazing help from another user who shared a coupon deal paired with a Walgreens sale. The lanyard and id holders I got really cheap from ebay and I am planning on putting a cute key holder insert in them as soon as I have an official date and monogram. The postcards are from vistaprint and were free besides shipping. On the back is information to a website where guests can share their photos from the wedding. I will continue to post as I continue to plan... this is so fun so far.... let's see if that lasts

I had to negotiate with store managers because they are not on sale in the store anymore. But, if you explain that they are $1 online and that the website says they are available in store - you shouldn't have a problem or at least I didn't. Let me know.

It worked!! The Walgreens stores were no longer running the special, but since the internet was and I explained I was getting married, managers were very helpful. So far, I have visited 3 stores and got 33 lip balms for approximately $4.00 yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy thanks a ton!!

I would say real tanning if you are going to be in the sun anyway for your wedding trip. That will at least give you a base. However, if you do decide to do spray tanning, I would find someone that airbrushes. It is much better than standing in a booth. Also, it depends how long before your wedding you will be there because spray tan will fade quickly if you decide to swim. I love spray tan, but I will be "real tanning" before my wedding trip.

I've been debating about this also, but I don't feel like it would be the same for me to already be legally married upon arriving to the DR. I want that beautiful tropical ceremony to be my real wedding day. So for me, it is worth the trouble and extra cash

Not trying to scare anyone or deter you from an October wedding, but I also considered an October wedding until I read that it was hurricane season in the DR. I'm sure chances are slim, but it made me too nervous to risk it.
