Lesley your pictures are beautiful and you were such a stunning bride. I have two questions, where did you get your dress and where did you get the place cards for the guest tables. They are so cute!

Try Blissful Bridal just off Macleod Trail. There are some 500-800 that are perfect for a destination wedding. My second choice was there but I bought my dress in the states. If you can head to Great Falls, I think there is a David's Bridal there. I got my $599 dress on sale there for $399 Good luck!

Paid the photographer deposit yesterday!

70 and counting. The extra person fee for cocktails, dinner, dance floor, DJ and decor at Dreams made it make a lot more sense for us to have a more private affair at Las Caletas. The wedding at Dreams was looking like 10K and Las Caletas all in including transportation to and from the marina and boat ride for all of our guests will be 12K (including photographer, make up and hair which I had to add on as they come with the Dreams package but are extra at Las Caletas) Kelly is the coordinator there and is AWESOME! Hope that helps, let me know if you have anymore questions. I am happy to say that I have 5 months and bit to the wedding and feel zero stress.

We cancelled our wedding at Dreams for December as it just got to big and we decided to have it at Las Caletas. Dec 3rd is available for those ladies looking for a date in 6 months Looking forward to staying at Dreams in the week leading up to the wedding though.

Our wedding is Dec 3rd 2011. We arrange special pricing with our TA that is guaranteed until our departure and the RSVP deadline was Feb 25th. We had 70 people pay their $200 deposit and it didn't seem to be a problem. There were about 15 people that couldn't commit so early and are ready to pay more come September if they try to book closer to the date, and they are fine with that. If there wasnt a deadline and we just allowed people to book their own trip, I think there would have been a lag in RSVPs. We invited approx 150 people so that means about 50% are coming so far.

Hi Andi, Thanks for your response. I planned to let people know the night before that they should expect a boat ride as part of the wedding festivities. So I think we are covered there! But I do appreciate the advice.

I sent invites out 9 months in advance with a 30 day later RSVP deadline. We sent out 100 invites and have 70 people confirmed and paid deposits. I know this seems far in advance but I want people to have enough time to book and take advantage of the early booking bonus the travel company offered. No one seemed to have a problem booking so far in advance and it gave me piece of mind that I wouldn't be chasing people in the last months leading up to the wedding.

Paid our deposit on Friday! We are SOOOO excited. Our wedding is still 8 months away and so we won't be bugging Kelly for months, but I did have the opportunity to talk to her and she is on the look out for an assistant to ease some of the craziness. We had originally planned to have our wedding at Dreams, but with 70 people, the extra person change at Dreams for over 20, made it make even more and more sense to book at Las Caletas with all that it has to offer. The cost was roughly $2000 more and we get a totally private wedding and a boat ride surprise for our guests!
